What You’ll Do:

  • Developing automation for developer experience tooling

Responsibilities

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer on our Technology Services Team, you will play a key role in the design, planning, and execution of projects related to GUARD's server, storage, backup, and virtualization environments in the cloud.  An ideal candidate should be able to understand and implement public cloud IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions, as well as analyze and resolve complex issues related to these areas. Monitor system performance and capacity and provide proactive remediation. Provide cloud services estimates and identify trends and opportunities for process and technology advancements to critical Infrastructure. Act as a technical escalation point for team members. We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to work out of one of these locations: Corporate Office in Wilkes-Barre, PA, Philadelphia, PA, Parsippany, NJ, Chicago, IL, Alpharetta, GA, or Dallas-Fort Worth, TX.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in Azure cloud infrastructure projects.
  • Design and implement infrastructure technical solutions that exhibit high levels of performance, security and scalability, while keeping any risks/impacts to the business in mind.
  • Develop and implement complex cloud environments, focusing on infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Pulumi, ARM templates, BluePrint.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or Github Actions.
  • Create, manage, and understand Azure resources such as app gateways, load balancers, storage accounts, Azure Files, app services, NSGs, virtual desktops/pools, backup/polices, Site Recovery, Azure Backup, etc.
  • Deliver technical leadership in the engineering and architecture of GUARD's server, storage, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Guide IT Administrators to ensure proper execution of project designs and ongoing conformity to policy.
  • Ensures infrastructure meets compliance and security standards through audits and tools like Azure Policy.
  • Ensures disaster recovery / backup solutions are operational, maintained and meeting the business needs.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve cloud infrastructure related problems.
  • Document systems, processes, and/or procedures.
  • Ability to respond to and investigate security alerts.
  • Track industry trends and maintain knowledge of new technologies to better serve the enterprises architecture needs.
  • Demonstrated experience in balancing multiple priorities and managing a variety of projects with strong attention to detail.

Salary Range

$65,900.70-$152,611.80 USD

The successful candidate is expected to work in one of our offices 3 days per week and also be available for travel as required.

The annual base salary range posted represents a broad range of salaries around the U.S. and is subject to many factors including but not limited to credentials, education, experience, geographic location, job responsibilities, performance, skills and/or training.

Job Description
As a valued colleague on our team, you will design and develop moderately complex solutions for information technology (IT) infrastructure environments, including coding, testing, and certifying technology platforms, software, and applications under limited supervision.
*THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE*
The cloud Infrastructure - Technology Engineering - Senior Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
* Ability to support and engineer Enterprise Network solutions
* Develop moderately complex solutions for application design and IT infrastructure components.
* Understand the end-to-end performance of IT platforms.
* Draft and maintain policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
* Independently monitor advanced performance and capacity metrics for technology solutions.
***This position has a Tuesday through Saturday Schedule from and 2:00 PM-12:00 AM CST and will have occasional on-call responsibilities***
*Minimum Required Experiences*
* 2 years of Enterprise Network Engineering experience
* Experience engineering Cloud infrastructure components in conjunction with team member
* Experience supporting automation and IAC specifically, Terraform.
* Experience in the cloud networking space and Network security.
* Experience responding to incidents and mitigating infrastructure errors.
*Desired Experiences*
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent
* Cloud or Networking certifications
*Skills*
* Skilled in Enterprise Network Engineering and Operations
* Skilled in cloud technologies and cloud computing
* Understanding of automation and ability to create rudimentary automation in network space.
* Skilled in establishing and maintaining consistency of a product's performance, functional, and physical attributes with its requirements, design, and operational information
* Determining causes of operating errors and taking corrective action
* The group of skills related to Operational Excellence including improving and overseeing operations
* On call engagement as needed for production impacting incidents
* Knowledge of Network security standards and operating procedures
* Understanding of Data center infrastructure, cabling and environmental requirements.
* Advanced knowledge in Zscaler administration
* Advanced knowledge of Load Balancers and load - balancer orchestration (BigIQ, AppViewX)
* Advanced knowledge of Firewalls. (PaloAlto and CheckPoint)
* Working knowledge of Citrix VPN
* Working knowledge of Cisco routing / switching, i.e. ACI, VxLAN, etc.
* AWS and/or Azure networking
* SolarWinds
* Terraform and/or RedHat Ansible platform
* JIRA, ServiceNow or similar

* Support testing, development and production operations for the scheduling and orchestration platform.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and create a target state architecture for job scheduling and orchestration.
* Create error-handling mechanisms, monitoring solutions, and operational dashboards.
* Develop reference implementations for Apache Airflow, AWS Step Function, AWS Event Bridge and Lambda.
* Document use cases, system design, reference implementations/patterns and migration plans.
* Conduct proof concepts and help customers with implementation.
* Plan and execute the migration of Autosys jobs to AWS Native solutions.
