The Role
The Lead Host is responsible for overseeing the hosting team, ensuring excellent guest experiences, managing reservations, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant. This role involves coordinating seating arrangements, addressing guest inquiries, and collaborating with other staff to ensure smooth operations. Making sure that the Host Team performs below.
Host/Hostess is responsible for delivering excellence in guest service by developing relationships with guests, providing personalized service, anticipating and delivering guests’ needs, supporting leadership and ensuring guest reservations are honored, walk-ins sat whenever possible, hotel guests and VIPs sat. Ensure service standards are complied with and that all guest needs are taken care of with clear, genuine communication and flawless execution.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent, friendly, and professional service to internal and external guests in all interactions.
- Uphold and promote the hotel culture throughout the business.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of work area, following opening and closing procedures.
- Manage bar tabs, table transfers, and uphold cash/credit handling procedures.
- Up-sell food and beverage menu items.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of alcoholic beverages and maintain awareness of menu items.
- Check identification for age verification when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with restaurant management and team members.

**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Operates with little supervision and is comfortable making decisions to resolve customer issues.
