Our client, a global leader in supply chain management and logistics, is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Logistics Operations Director to oversee and optimize their extensive operations. This critical leadership role is based at our state-of-the-art facility in **Baltimore, Maryland, US**. You will be responsible for the strategic direction, operational efficiency, and financial performance of all logistics and warehousing activities within your purview. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of complex supply chain networks, advanced inventory management techniques, transportation management systems (TMS), and warehouse management systems (WMS). Proven leadership skills, coupled with a strong analytical mindset and a track record of driving continuous improvement in cost, quality, and service levels, are essential.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing innovative strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Managing and directing all aspects of warehousing, inventory control, and transportation operations.
• Leading and motivating a large team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and safety.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Implementing and leveraging advanced technology solutions (e.g., WMS, TMS, automation) to optimize operations.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus. A minimum of 10-12 years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, is required. Extensive experience in managing large-scale warehouse operations and national/international transportation networks is essential. Strong negotiation skills, financial acumen, and a proven ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment are paramount.
