Job Description
Watsontown Brick is seeking a motivated person to fill a Forklift Operator position within one of our plants. This position requires basic forklift driving skills, and the ability to adapt to various job tasks. Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Operate Forklift up to 14,000 Lbs. with basic driving skills
- Transporting and stacking material
- Ability to drive dump truck to haul waste material to dumping areas
- Ability to work alone unsupervised
- Ensure quality control of the product
- Completing general daily production goals and work overtime when needed
- Assist in moving product around to meet production needs
- Performing general inspections on the forklift to keep it running effectively and safely
- Ability to read/write/understand English
- Ability to figure out where to pick the product in the yard to ship product
- Ability to document shipped materials and ensure they are correct for inventory control
- Physical activities include bending, twisting, kneeling, and lifting and lowering objects up to 60 lbs.
- Determine and report malfunctions to appropriate parties
- Clean machine properly after production runs or changeovers
- Ability to maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior production/manufacturing Forklift operation experience a plus
- Knowledge of industrial technology a plus
Pay: Up to $40,144/year

How Will You Make an Impact?:
As a Material Handler you will be responsible for provide shipping, receiving, storage and order fulfillment services for finished goods, inventory, materials, supplies, parts and equipment at the assigned facility(s).
A Day in the Life:
Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and accurately process items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements while sustaining a high level of quality to ensure customers receive correct product and in the time requested.
Receive materials and/or finished goods daily. Verify the quality, type and amount of materials received are correct and that the appropriate documentation is present (e.g. packing list).
Safely operate distribution equipment.
Complete Thermo Fisher Scientific training requirements and operate within all ISO standards pertaining to site Distribution including, but not limited to, Control of Documents and Quality Policy.
**Education:**
High school diploma or equivalent required.
**Experience:**
+ Required: No previous work experience required
+ Preferred: Experience in distribution, warehouse or supply chain or related field
+ Preferred: Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers)
**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:**
+ Ability to operate powered industrial trucks.
**Physical Requirements / Work Environment**
