As a Material Handler/Forklift Operator, you play a critical role in the efficient operation of our warehouse facilities. Your primary responsibility is to safely and accurately move materials, products, and goods within the warehouse or production area using forklifts and other material handling equipment. Key ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions:
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport materials to and from designated areas within the facility.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, racks, and shelves, ensuring proper stacking and securing of goods to prevent damage.
- Assist in inventory control activities by accurately counting, recording, and organizing materials and products in designated storage areas.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for any damages or defects and report any discrepancies to supervisors.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines while operating equipment and handling materials to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse or production area, including clearing aisles, removing debris, and ensuring equipment is safely stored when not in use.
- Collaborate with warehouse and production team members to prioritize tasks, coordinate material movement, and meet operational goals and deadlines.
Education/Certifications:
- High School Diploma
Experience:
- 6+ months of prior material handling / fork truck equipment operation experience.
- Experience with WMS software.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with radio frequency (RF) scanning equipment.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Strong diligence and ability to accurately follow instructions.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Pay Rate:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour depending on experience and equipment knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, move, and stage product by operating various equipment such as sit-down forklift, reach truck, cherry picker.
- Pull and prepare product for shipping including but not limited to labeling, banding, stretch wrapping, block and brace.
- Verify shipments for accuracy, document and report any discrepancies.
- Utilize RF scanner.
- Follow established company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with warehouse and office personnel to meet productivity goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform daily equipment inspections prior to operation.
- Perform other duties and not limited to just driving a forklift, you will label, band, stretch wrap, clean drums and totes, and restack bags and pails.
- Must have 2 -3 years of forklift experience in a logistics environment.
- Flexible work schedule: must be able to come in early, stay late, and/or work weekends depending on operational needs.
- Must be able to work in a congested area(s) and non-climate-controlled warehouse.
- Must have 2 -3 years in handling hazardous material
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, adjust the body to bend, push, pull, stretch, stoop, squat, and grab; walk and sit for extended periods.
- Detail-oriented and capable of performing basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
