The New Iberia Research Center (NIRC) is a premier $75 million biomedical research facility dedicated to advancing human health and addressing societal challenges through the use of non-human primates in research. As a vital resource for the biomedical community, NIRC provides state-of-the-art support for investigators conducting both basic and applied research. The Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Medical Technologist) will be responsible for the processing, analysis, and reporting of diagnostic samples in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidelines in a contract laboratory setting. This position requires expertise in multiple diagnostic disciplines, including hematology, coagulation, chemistry, microbiology, flow cytometry, parasitology, and urinalysis. The role also involves the calibration, preventative maintenance, and quality control of laboratory equipment, as well as ensuring compliance with regulations for the shipment of diagnostic samples.

Key Responsibilities:
