- Maintain behavior that is compliant with Federal and State regulations, guidelines, and requirements including working knowledge of all health information management issues such as HIPAA.
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms for patient intake.
- Nursing duties including measuring and recording patients' vital signs, draw blood, give injections, and perform clinical tasks
- Observe patients, charting, reporting changes in patients' conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and taking any necessary action.
- Operate or oversee operation of X-Ray equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes
- Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during X-Ray Scans
- Ensures imaging equipment is proper operating condition.
- Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatment.
- Assist patients utilizing a Virtual Medicine Provider.
- Ensure accurate completion of patient charts in a timely matter and forwarding charts as appropriate on a daily basis.
- Ability to adhere to the Core Values of the Company, of teamwork, communication, empowerment, quality of care, and friendliness.
- The ability to maintain friendly, cordial relations with all clients and employees; maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that results in a positive work relationship with customers, co-workers and managers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Additional Requirements for Centers of Excellence:
- Completes all required preceptor training in order to effectively onboard and train new hires in centers of excellence.
- Engage with Learning and Development to manage onboarding and training of new employees.
- Meet new employees on first day in clinic and facilitate welcome and introductions, facility tours, and clinic process overview.
- Partners with Learning and Development and new hires establish a training plan and review training schedule. Communicates with learning and development as appropriate.
- Submits weekly evaluations on your trainee’s progress to Learning and Development. Communicates training progress or concerns as appropriate to operations leadership and learning and development.
- Completes final evaluation and Proof of Proficiency form and submits to learning and development on final training day.
- At least 1 year of experience as an X-Ray Technologist preferably in clinic setting, preferably Urgent Care.
- Indiana Residents Only: In Indiana, Limited Scope License requires a State License and proof of ARRT License

**Job Summary and Qualifications**
You Will:
+ Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing by analyzing proficiency testing samples according to instructions and complete within the allowable time frame
+ Assume responsibility of the department as appropriate in the absence of the supervisor
+ Complete all required records/documentation pertaining to patient results
+ Perform stat procedures within established turnaround time targets
+ Demonstrate the ability to use good judgment and independent thinking in the correlation and interpretation of patient results. (Including performing delta checks, etc.)
+ Review pending logs (OSR) and result logs; resolve any outstanding workload or communicate to staff relief
+ Perform quality control procedures per protocol and handle all problem and/or critical laboratory specimens/test results
You Should Have:
+ A 2 Year/Associate Degree is required
+ A 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology is preferred
+ Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist preferred
+ A State of Florida Technologist License is required OR the ability to obtain a license during the interview process
+ Technologist License in one or more clinical specialty areas: (Generalist highly preferred)?

The Pathology Department at the University of Miami has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Technologist 2. Core Job Summary The Medical Technologist 2 performs microbiological, molecular biological and immunological tests on body specimens to provide data for use in treatment and diagnosis of disease. Moreover, the incumbent facilitates quality assurance and instrument maintenance. Core Job Functions Verifies identification of specimen with physicians’ orders, prepares specimens for testing, and handles all specimens in a safe and careful manner. Analyzes results of testing and interprets abnormal or unusual results. Researches and prepares all pertinent patient data and refers all data and testing results to pathologists for evaluation and sign-out. Calibrates equipment, orders supplies, and maintains inventory of relevant forms and materials. Recognizes test inconsistencies and takes appropriate corrective action while supporting laboratory co-workers in resolution of similar problems. Administers quality-control tests, according to procedure, and maintains appropriate data recording. Assists with orienting and training employees on laboratory techniques and operations. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets. Performs molecular techniques, including nucleic acid extraction (DNA and/or RNA) from fixed tissues, blood, or bone marrow, DNA/RNA quantification and quality assessment, fragment analysis, PCR, NGS library preparation, and data analysis. Utilizes laboratory information systems for data entry, recall, and labeling. Accurately follows all laboratory SOPs. QA and QC responsibilities: Run and reports proficiency testing following SOPs. Perform, review, and accept daily QC runs. Follow laboratory protocols for corrections reports, identify, correct, and report deviations of SOPs. Daily, weekly, and monthly documentation of bench decontamination. Refrigerators and freezer temperatures, room humidity, and temperature. Document daily activities and maintenance. Perform system verification, accuracy, precision, and instrument-to-instrument comparison following SOP and supervisor/manager guidance. Inventory and supplies: Maintaining adequate inventory levels as per protocol. Places orders regularly as needed. Rotate previous inventory stock when it applies. Pick up, unpack, date, and storage in a timely manner according to manufacturers’ commendation. Check packing slips, verify amounts and items received, and give documentation to supervisor/designee. Laboratory ancillary activities: Keeps lab clean, neat, and organized. Performs housekeeping duties. Remove empty boxes, recyclable material and dispose of them as per SOP. Prepare Biohazards containers for use and disposal. Assist in the maintenance of hardware by loading paper, labels, and/or printer ribbons or any other task when necessary. Performs all procedures in a timely manner. Knowledgeable of all lab procedures and specimen submission requirements. Understand and use proper safety practices. Complete all CBL required training and compliance courses. Perform other duties as assigned Department Specific Qualifications Certification and Licensing: Florida Molecular License Certified by a national body agency, ASCP/AMT/ABB (ASCP preferred) Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in molecular genetics laboratory or molecular pathology laboratory (oncology molecular diagnostics experience is preferred) Good theoretical understanding of molecular techniques such as DNA/RNA extraction, DNA/RNA sequencing, NGS workflow, library preparation, library assessment, NGS, q-PCR.
