Job Description
We're looking for a Medical Scribe to join the team at our Stein Eye Calabasas location. In this role, you'll provide vital administrative support to physicians in the Department of Ophthalmology by assisting with accurate and timely documentation of patient care. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Documenting patient history, review of systems, physical exam findings, progress notes, and procedure notes in real-time
+ Supporting follow-up documentation related to lab results, diagnostics, consults, and patient care plans
+ Ensuring medical record documentation is complete and assisting physicians with encounter closure
+ Monitoring documentation workflows and returning incomplete charts to physicians for review
+ Support record keeping: abstracting, scanning, and cataloging into the EMR
+ Provide general clerical support
Salary Range: $23.48-32.99 Hourly
This is a part-time temporary position scheduled to end 12 months from hire date. May covert to Career.

Qualification Education and/or Experience Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED. Must be able to type a minimum of 45 words per minute and use dictation equipment. A working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, legal aspects of health information, coding, indexing, etc., preferred but not required. On the job training provided in medical record and health information system procedures. Must be knowledgeable of medical terminology. Be knowledgeable in computers, data retrieval, input and output functions, etc. Language Skills Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
