We're looking for a Part-Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about reaching individuals who need mental healthcare but lack easy access to it. **This is a contract position**
What you'll do:
- Treat patients in your state(s) of licensure
- Conduct initial Psychiatric Diagnosis Interview Examinations (PDE) for new patient referrals and Evaluation & Management (E/M) sessions for established patients
- Use the Talkspace platform to conduct video call sessions with patients, submit clinical documentation, and manage patient treatment plans
- Coordinate with the Talkspace psychiatry team as needed
- Easy-to-Use: You can seamlessly conduct video call sessions with patients, manage cases, create treatment plans, and submit your clinical documentation for each patient

- $110 per initial session with a new patient referral (Psychiatric Diagnosis Interview Examination - 45-60 min)
- $0- 85 per follow-up session with an established patient, depending on the length of the session (Evaluation and Management - 10-49 min)
- You must have an active Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license in Washington state and 2+ years prescribing experience
- Active DEA and individual NPI number
- Submission of a fully completed, signed CAQH application
- Reliable internet connection
- Independent liability insurance; minimum coverage amount required is 1 million occurrence/ 3 million aggregate

Purpose Statement
Are you passionate about helping and supporting teens in school and wanting a school-based work schedule? The tele-mental health clinician has the unique opportunity to develop positive relationships with students in rural schools and provide therapeutic services to promote students' mental wellness. The job of tele-mental health clinician is done for the purpose of will providing individual sessions via a HIPAA compliant video platform to support students impacted by mental health issues and trauma and providing leadership assistance to school districts in the development of comprehensive programs in mental health support, therapy, and case management. This position is part of a unique team of job alike peers who participate in professional growth and network with one another.
This position will serve Northport, Odessa, Wilbur-Creston, Waterville, and Grand Coulee school districts. The work location is at NEWESD 101's main building.
This position is 8 hours per day, Monday-Friday, for 210 days following the typical school schedule, starting August 2025. The clinician will also be expected to perform 2-3 on-site visits per year with each participating school district.
Functions
- Aligns work with NEWESD 101 and participating school districts for the purpose of developing and implementing a delivery system for mental health support services to students in participating schools/districts.
- Collaborates with a variety of groups and/or individuals (e.g. superintendents, principals, teachers, counselors, agency representatives) for the purpose of increasing student awareness/recognition of communication and problem-solving skills and ultimately improving student performance.

- Manages a caseload within a school setting and prioritizes work based on student needs in multiple schools.
- Refers students to outside resources in an appropriate and timely manner.

- Consults with families, staff, and community agency personnel for the purpose of developing intervention goals and coordinating service plans.
- Maintains individual student records and files for the purpose of being in compliance with state law.
- Provides follow-up and aftercare to students who have been referred to outside services for the purpose of assisting in transition and functioning.
- Possesses knowledge of using electronic meeting platforms, such as Zoom.

Responsibility
Responsibilities include working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods, leading, guiding, and directing others within the department, and tracking budget expenditures. Working Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 60% sitting, 20% walking, and 20% standing. The job is performed under a generally hazard free environment.
Experience
Job-related experience working in mental health and/or substance use required.
Job-related experience working in a school setting preferred.
Job-related experience with using telehealth as a modality for providing mental health therapy preferred.
Education
Master's degree in mental health counseling or related field required.
Certificates & Licenses
Mental Health licensure in the State of Washington required.
Valid driver's license, required auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
Clearances

Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Fully licensed by the State Board to provide therapy independently (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LCPC, LCSW-C, LISW, or LP).
Compensation: $80-$111 per hour. Pay rates vary based on provider license type, session location, and session types.
