Job Summary:

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Ensures standardized care delivery by: supervising complex work streams with significant program impact; and evaluating performance to implement strategic initiatives; maintaining partnerships with physicians/providers and subject matter experts and service area leaders; utilizing data and analysis to inform the development and implementation of plans; coordinating and monitoring daily operational activities involving patient care management; supervising multidisciplinary clinical team(s) and holding team accountable for performance; helping implement emergency preparedness programs; assuring the teams emergency preparedness and that staff are trained and know what is expected during and after an emergency; and coaching the team and monitoring implementation and performance on daily operations and new initiatives to meet business line objectives.
+ Supervises operations to support patient care by: facilitating team, meetings, and/or management decisions and identifying action items; analyzing standardized and ad hoc data and assuming accountability to achieve teams department performance targets; interpreting data, and taking action to meet department performance goals; supervising human resources including recruitment and recommendation for selection and promoting active recruitment; responding to union requests for information or grievances and escalating and/or resolving as needed and establishing relationships with labor management partnerships (LMPs) and labor relations; conducting survey readiness activities, including mock rounds and mitigating issues, to maintain compliance and regulatory standards and delivering requested audit documentation, information, and reports; and assuming accountability for maintaining and meeting their teams budget and expenditures and entering payroll, and identifying and developing plans to mitigate budget variances.

+ Supervises improvements to operations and technology processes by: planning and supervising the work of teams on strategic projects designed to remediate issues and improve quality, service, affordability, and/or operating efficiency; responding to escalations to improve the performance of operations system processes; and implementing performance metrics to track the success of strategic improvement projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Minimum one (1) year of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.

Job Description
As a strategic partner within Eye Care, the Director, National Accounts leads a team of Key Account Executives to drive superior engagement, growth, and partnership with physician groups, alliances, and ASCs. The Director serves as the executive face to national accounts, prioritizing relationships with key decision makers and positioning AbbVie as a trusted advisor to C-suite leaders and key opinion leaders. This role champions cross-functional collaboration, ensuring strategic alignment, compliance, and operational excellence across all products in the AbbVie Eyecare portfolio to unlock business opportunities.
The Director is accountable for developing and executing account strategies with Marketing, Medical, Reimbursement, Training, and Field Leadership to maximize customer engagement at all levels. This includes owning detailed engagement plans in partnership with Legal and OEC, adapting support and resources to business needs, and prioritizing development of customer initiatives.
The National Director and the team will be focused on helping customers and their key stakeholders by facilitating collaborative account planning, coordinating internal resources to provide appropriate educational support, and working with these groups on co-promotional opportunities. The ideal candidate will have the ability to think strategically about AbbVie's business and that of the accounts to drive product growth through innovative partnership strategies and be able to facilitate pricing conversations and contract negotiations as appropriate.
The Director actively participates in Integrated Brand Teams (IBTs) across all therapeutic areas, providing field-based insights, representing customer and account perspectives, and collaborating on brand strategy, pipeline planning, coding and reimbursement initiatives, and new product launches.
This position requires strong analytical skills as a component of the position is to have a business-to-business discussion with key financial stakeholders in Physician Groups, National ASC accounts, and Optometric Alliances. This individual will also focus on pipeline assets. Key area of focus will be partnering with the IBT team to establish coding and reimbursement needs including developing the capability to successfully launch first in class gene therapy asset.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Drive cross-functional account planning, leading teams to align resources, set KPIs, and deliver business results through seamless execution across Marketing, Reimbursement, Sales, Field Leadership, and Training.
+ Serve as the principal executive liaison to National Account C-suites, representing AbbVie Eye Care as a trusted advisor and single point of leadership engagement.
+ Lead strategic collaboration across Market Access, APEX, Compliance, Legal, and other internal partners to shape and deliver tailored account strategies that address provider, patient, and business needs.
+ Develop and execute a comprehensive Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) strategy for retina portfolios to protect ASP (Average Sales Price), ensure provider pull through, and deliver targeted support at the account level for strategic alignment.
+ Guide and facilitate field leader collaboration across multiple therapeutic areas, championing best practices and coordinated approaches for effective customer engagement.

+ Collaborate with USMax and brand teams to design and implement integrated distribution and customer impact strategies that optimize access, product uptake, and customer satisfaction while maintaining compliance and alignment with legal guidance.
+ Proactively champion account education and co-promotion programs, leveraging internal and external resources for maximum market impact and product growth.
+ Ensure regular alignment with regulatory requirements and facilitate risk mitigation through partnership with Compliance and Legal functions.

Job Description
+ Main training responsibility will be focused on the ocular surface and anterior segment, with a sub-focus on a secondary section of the eye. The clinical training includes but is not limited to training for: representatives on the sales team, DMs, MSLs, National Accounts, and Marketing

Summary:

Performs high-quality ophthalmic procedures, focusing on patient care and education.

Responsibilities:

  • Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Advanced understanding of ophthalmic anatomy is required, as well as the ability to efficiently scribe for physicians.
  • Promptly and professionally assisting the doctor in patient care, collecting patient history, and performing patient education.
  • Performing technical workups to include visual acuity, lensometry, color vision, visual field tests (Humphrey and Goldman), manual keratometry, refraction, Amslers, muscle testing, topography, pupil exams, OCT, pachymetry, and other special testing as directed by physician.
  • Advanced technical workups in performing retinoscopy and A-Scans as directed by physician.
  • Follows physician protocol for A-Scans and fills in at Special Testing when needed.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Graduate of accredited Vision program preferred.

Experience

  • 1 year of experience working at an Ophthalmology clinic setting required.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

  • BLS required.
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) from IJCAHPO required.
  • Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC) preferred.

Job Description
The Associate Director of Sales Training collaborates closely with the Director of Sales Training, the Sales Training team, Sales Leadership, and Brand Leadership to recommend and direct strategic and tactical training and execute on the aligned Annual Training initiatives. This position includes supporting the current therapeutic portfolio and leading a team that develops training for the pipeline. The Associate Director will also work closely with Medical, Regulatory, Legal, OEC, Compliance, Business Human Resources, and Talent Acquisition. They must be confident in and comfortable with cross functional team structure and adept at collaboration and influence management within a matrix organization.
Main Areas of Responsibility
+ Oversee training curriculum and programs to ensure they are effective, stay within budget and drive top line sales for the Therapeutic area.
+ Responsible for the leadership, support, and development of the training team, which includes on-site and remote.
+ Responsible for creating an inclusive environment where all direct reports are accepted for who they are and can reach their full potential.
+ Actively participating on Integrated Brand Teams & Integrated Learning Team for Therapeutic area
+ Overseeing the Training curriculum and planning of training which includes overseeing /partnering with the Sales Training team, the Marketing team and Sales Leadership on curriculum development, RDDM/NM, and all related projects/additional meetings/meeting cycles.
+ Oversee/partners with the Sales Training team, the Marketing team and Sales Leadership to ensure training content supports brand and organizational goals.
+ Oversee and work collaboratively with the Sales Training team and key stakeholders on projects to ensure all relevant materials are approved and within compliance guidelines.
+ Continuously assesses training and development needs of the field force to ensure the long-term development of the sales team.
+ Responsible for the growth and development of sales trainers, leading them as they advance their careers in skill areas such as workshop development/facilitation, project management, and coaching/partnering with representatives and DMs.
Additional Information
+ Ability to commit to 30%- 50% travel for training sessions, sales meetings, and other role related events

Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree required
+ Minimum of 5 years' field sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry and ability
+ History of success selecting and building diverse high performing teams preferred
+ Experience in developing and leading high potential sales professionals preferred
+ Experience with the Medical Regulatory Process (MRP).
+ Depth in Therapeutic area and training experience is preferred.
+ Proficient written /verbal communication and facilitation skills. Ability to engage cross-functional teams to assess needs and gain support for plans.
+ Experience in pharmaceutical / healthcare sales and sales management with demonstrated success in developing & leading effective sales teams preferred business or related field is acceptable combined with relevant training and sales or experiences
+ Experience in marketing and/or commercial training preferred
+ Knowledge of instructional design systems or extensive experience in training, development of training and curriculum design are also desirable

In addition to the responsibilities below, this position is also responsible for leading optometrists and optometry staff and monitoring and implementing quality of service and utilization standards; ensuring multiple teams compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, established departmental and organizational policies and procedures, licensure requirements, professional work standards, and competency within eye care techniques, practices, and equipment; managing schedule design and utilization of appointments to ensure appropriate access of care across service area(s); providing direct optometry care and services or specialized testing and therapy to members (e.g., visual examinations, including for pathology, diagnosis of abnormal visual, ocular, and/or systematic conditions); providing treatment of the visual system within the scope of optometric licensure, including writing prescriptions for ophthalmic spectacles, contact lenses, orthoptics, and non-optical aids; prescribing pharmaceuticals and performing certain procedures, as allowed by state law; leading the activities of the optometry department across large service area(s); establishing and maintaining relationships with optometry, ophthalmology, and senior management; and coordinating and collaborating with service area leaders to ensure that a strategic service delivery plan exists for Optometry that meets the needs of the service area.

+ Manages improvements to operations and technology processes by: leading and implementing long-term strategic projects designed to remediate issues and improve quality, service, affordability, and/or operating efficiency; applying a structured approach for identifying root causes and implementing solutions to improve the performance of operations system processes in response to moderately complex barriers and/or issues; and ensuring performance metrics used to monitor the success of strategic improvement projects are tied to strategic, long-term department and organizational initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited institution AND minimum one (1) year experience in business operations, clinical health care, or a directly related field.
+ Minimum six (6) years of experience as an Optometrist.
+ Minimum four (4) years of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
+ Minimum three (3) years of customer service experience.
+ Optometrist License with TPA Certification (California) required at hire
