What You Will Be Doing:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, provides for personal care and comfort .

• Communicate with providers and team members about changes in patient's clinical condition and needs of the patient’s family.

• Provide direct and indirect patient care services that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care.

• Provide care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

• Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills.

• Basic computer skills.

• Ability to remain calm in a busy or stressful situation.

• Ensures patient information is kept private by following HIPPA privacy standards.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Required- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Maine, active on the State of Maine CNA Registry.

• Preferred-Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS.

Required within 6 months of hire

• Preferred- One year of continuous CNA experience.

• Preferred- High school graduate or equivalent.

The Opportunity:

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Radiological Technologist to join our highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Team at Bridgton Hospital!

Bridgton Region: Bridgton, Maine captures a perfect slice of lakeside beauty. The Radiological Technologist performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols.

Rad techs are trained to perform and become certified in both X Ray and CT!

Functions as one of the first line interfaces with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.

Education and Experience:

• Required - Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required- and/or Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a current ARRT or NMTCB Certification in Computed Tomography.
• Current or within 1 month of hire American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BCLS certification. Re-certification of existing employees is due within 1 month of expiration date.
• Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
• Possesses a high level of knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy when performing CT.
• Proficiency with X-Ray and when performing CT will have knowledge or will be trained of CT equipment, hardware and software (GE, Siemens, Phillips, and Toshiba preferred).
