Responsibilities:
+ Receive and process incoming and outgoing orders
+ Picking and processing customer's orders using a warehouse management system
+ Replenish picking locations as needed
+ Cycle count inventory

+ Utilize manual pallet jack to move products by loading small and large parcels and pallets
+ Maintain neat and orderly workspace

Summary: The Shipping & Receiving Production Assistant is responsible for processing and fulfilling customer orders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other powered industrial equipment.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency; or six-months to one-year related experience in a manufacturing environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Six (6) months – one (1) year related shipping experience in a manufacturing environment and/or training
  • Basic computer knowledge required

CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Ability to read and understand corporate policies, job-related documents, and written/verbal instructions in English to ensure effective and compliant job performance.

What You’ll Do:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team. This role involves managing incoming and outgoing shipments, performing local deliveries, and assisting with light assembly tasks in our production area. The ideal candidate is organized, punctual, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Shipping & Receiving

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders
  • Accurately label and store materials in designated warehouse locations
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and documentation
  • Maintain shipping and receiving logs and ensure accurate inventory records
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently

Driving / Delivery

  • Operate company vehicle to deliver and pick up materials or products from local vendors, suppliers, or customers
  • Maintain delivery logs and ensure proper handling of items during transport
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues

Assembly & Production Support

  • Assist in the basic assembly of products or components as needed
  • Follow work instructions, blueprints, or diagrams to complete tasks accurately
  • Support production team by moving materials or staging parts for manufacturing

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record (Class C or higher, depending on vehicle type)
  • Previous experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse operations, or delivery preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
  • Basic computer skills (email, inventory systems, shipping software)
  • Forklift certification a plus (or willing to be certified)
