Position Summary The primary responsibility of the Material Handler will include all aspects of Inbound Unloading and Outbound Loading Furniture Operations within a distribution center. Will work in teams to accomplish all job duties. The responsibilities may include pulling inventory, moving stock, and other materials to fulfill orders.Position DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Support the Inbound / Outbound operationMoving furniture with dollies and pallet jacksMust be able to lift to 50 lbs-100 pounds (Team Lift) or moreAbility to work in a warehouse environment, withstanding climate changesUnload product from delivery truckPlace product in proper staging areaProper lifting techniques, lift, push, stooping twisting, bendingAble to operate radio frequency equipmentConducts operations in compliance with OSHA standardsConducts operations in a manner that promotes safetyMaintains a clean work area, free from debris on warehouse floorMeet company standards for productivityQualificationsEducation/Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 1-2 years experience in a fast paced warehouse environment. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.Position Hiring RangeThe hiring pay range provides a guide for what we would reasonably pay for the position. Pay will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to: applicant's education, relevant work experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data. Responsibilities
- Inspects, repairs and loads propane cylinders and/or tanks
- Scrapes and paints cylinders and tanks as needed
- Maintains Service Center office and plant or yard for a professional appearance
- When applicable, fills cylinders for customers at the dock
- During daily interaction with customers provides exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquiries
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent, preferred
- 1+ years of work experience, preferred
- Will train the right candidate
- Good driving record and valid driver's license
- At least 18 years of age
- Physically able to lift up to 75 pounds, in all weather conditions
- Genuine commitment to providing superior customer service
- Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
