**Responsibilities**
As a Senior Penetration Tester, you will conduct offensive security assessments that simulate real-world attacks on Microsoft Security's products, services, and infrastructure. You will identify vulnerabilities across application, network, and operational domains and collaborate with engineering and security teams to support remediation efforts. This role plays a key part in strengthening the security posture of Microsoft's security suite through hands-on testing and cross-team collaboration.

**Qualifications**
**Required Qualifications**
+ Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field AND 3+ years experience in security or related field
+ OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field AND 4+ years experience in security or related field
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ At least 3+ years of experience in penetration testing, red teaming, or offensive security.
+ Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), identity systems, and distributed systems.

**Job Description:**
Manual Ethical Hacking is part of the Application Development Security Framework Program within Bank of America's Cyber Security Assurance Offensive Security group. The program provides services to assess the vulnerability of the bank's applications to malicious hacking activity.
This intermediate technical role is responsible for performing application security assessments of the bank's technologies, applications, and cyber security controls while adapting testing methods to evolving and emerging threats. University of Washington investigators perform world-class field programs in every corner of the globe, in addition to groundbreaking research activities at the Seattle campus that occasionally involve the use of technology and information relevant to national security. **POSITION COMPLEXITIES**
The Research Security Analyst must understand and support researcher and University compliance with legal and regulatory obligations related to research security as mandated by the CHIPS and Science Act, National Security Presidential Memorandum 33, the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Program, and all other applicable regulations.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
With direct supervision by the Director, Research Security Office, design, develop, implement, maintain and improve various aspects of the research security program, including but not limited to the following elements:
Program and Project Management (50%)
+ Foreign influence assessments. Consistent with University policies and procedures, review publicly available sources and researcher disclosures to identify and develop mitigation plans for potential foreign influence in research activities.Information Management (20%)
+ Working with campus stakeholders, provide guidance to University researchers on the identification and handling of controlled unclassified information and proprietary materials or documents.Information Security (15%)
+ Serve as a liaison between the Office of Sponsored Programs, UW-IT, and research projects to ensure compliance with federal information security requirements and/or as specified in research agreements. In coordination with the Director, Office of Research Security, and the Chief Research Security Officer, recommend mitigation provisions for research security compliance concerns and issues.Research Security Education and Awareness (5%)
+ Develop content and delivery methods for research security education and awareness to the broader University community. Verify employee research security awareness and accept employee acknowledgements of research security responsibilities.Compliance (10%)
+ For the broader University, monitor compliance of University policies, standards, guidelines and procedures with Federal statutes, policy and guidance. Recommend revisions to University policies; develop and implement revisions to University standards, guidelines and procedures. Provide subject matter expertise in the area of research security. **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Science, and/or international affairs.
+ Bachelor's degree and four years' experience in research security; OR equivalent combination of education and work experience. Research security experience must include experience with NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, NSPM-33, CMMC, and other relevant regulations. **Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.** **DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**

Command Center agents use Cargo Signal visibility software and hardware to actively monitor customer shipments, analyze cargo risk events, and manage response protocols. Agents communicate directly with customers and Service Providers worldwide.
+ Manage customer communication by e-mail, phone, and chat. Understand complex requests and respond promptly and professionally.
+ Provide information on shipments, Cargo Signal services, account details, and basic troubleshooting.
+ Resolve customer issues within established guidelines, escalating complex problems to appropriate teams when necessary.
+ Provide friendly and professional customer service, ensuring a positive customer experience.
+ Accurately input customer data into Cargo Signal systems, including order details, shipment information, and notes regarding customer interactions.
+ Copy information from documents or other sources into the monitoring software, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
+ Verify data accuracy by cross-checking information against source documents and resolving discrepancies.
+ Maintain data cleanliness by identifying and correcting outdated or inaccurate information.
+ Track and trace shipments using internal and external applications and by telephone/e-mail to service provider.
+ Understand standard operating procedures and correctly interpret this information to fulfill customer instructions and expectations.
+ Develop relationships with key customers to promote customer satisfaction and retention. Report customer feedback to management, including any signs of customer dissatisfaction.
+ Actively monitor shipments to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
Respond to emergency alarms and exceptions according to company procedures.
+ Promote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations and performing the task at hand with outstanding integrity and pride.
+ Maintain confidentiality of sensitive customer data.
+ Help build a positive local team environment integrated into our global 24/7 Command Center team.
+ Participate in shift-level exercises and incident response drills.
+ Excellent typing skills: Ability to input data quickly and accurately with high attention to detail.
+ Strong communication skills: Clear and concise verbal and written communication to effectively interact with customers and document interactions.
+ Customer Service focus: Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and resolve issues in a timely manner.
+ Technical proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office, web-based map software, GPS trackers, and cellular networks.
+ Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and address customer issues effectively.
+ Organizational skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage a high volume of e-mails and data entry efficiently.
+ History of reliable and punctual attendance.
+ Logistics experience (air, ocean, trucking, risk management, in-transit security, temperature control).
+ Aptitude for resolute questioning to find the root cause when given incomplete information.
+ Sense of urgency and quality-obsessed approach to timely and accurate information.
+ Positive and willing-to-help attitude.

Expected base pay: $23-25 per hour
Cargo Signal is a 24/7/365 operation. Weekend, holiday, and evening work may be required.
