+ Unload delivery trucks and verify shipments against packing lists and purchase orders.

Responsible for the coordination of freight bills, appointments, and final processing of all Receiving/Shipping paperwork to include date entry/verification, locator transactions, and Receiving/Shipping/Carrier logs. Additionally, responsible for the organized filing of all Receiving/Shipping related paperwork.
**What you will do**
+ Greet driver and match purchase order to driver's freight bill or packing slip.
+ For unscheduled carrier deliveries (UPS, FEX, Express), appoint and notify receiver.
+ Continually update on-line receiving/shipping system through timely data entry of current P.O. appointment information and carrier arrival.
+ Work between TPX and WMS to identify promo codes, OOS status of P.O, Bulk or Random dock assignment.
+ Keep schedule update as to arrivals, late and no shows.
+ Keep daily inbound/outbound trailer log.
+ Coordinate trailer movement as door/receiver becomes available.
+ Coordinate all pallet trailers, in and out good wood, chip and repairable wood. Prepare all carrier paperwork. Notify carriers as to empty/full trailer. Enter data on Pallet Excel spreadsheet. Maintain and update trailer board in relation to the above.
+ Using daily yard check, notify carrier by phone, E-Mail and fax, of all empties in yard.
+ Release appropriate paperwork to carrier for refused or returned merchandise. Match and bag all signed delivery receipts.
+ Maintain contact with yard jockey and carriers to pull empty trailers and put in those to be received.
+ Coordinate trailers and coordinate load lumper requests with Supervisor.
+ Research P.O. requests for vendor, carrier and corporate.
+ Contact carriers who missed appointments to determine receiving ability or need for reschedule.
+ Prepare all carrier and Backhaul Manifests.
+ Prepare weekly receiving report summary.
+ Refer all unscheduled or early carrier arrivals, no shows or problems with drivers' loads to Supervisor immediately for resolution.
+ Research all faxes for scheduling. Determine buyer, promo, RX, and OOS information.
+ Coordinate and retrieve driver paperwork and door tags.
+ Stamp and code carrier bills. Enter into Excel spreadsheet. Contact carriers for door assignments and special instructions through CB.
+ Daily P&G Exception report and carrier report.
+ Research vendor compliance issues, responding to corporate and vendors by phone and fax with results. Report carrier late arrivals and no shows to Corporate via daily carrier report.
+ Order receiver, shipping and office supplies.
+ Courteous and professional telephone manner.
+ Perform other duties requested by Supervision/Management.
+ **PO CLOSER:** a clerical position in the Receiving or Shipping office responsible for general clerical work as well as the closing of PO's and the preparation and handling of all associated paperwork and signatures. The closer may be a stand alone position or be in conjunction with other clerical duties as assigned.
+ Closes PO's in the system
+ Reconciliation of PO Discrepancy Log
+ Matches bills of lading, total cases received, appointment sheets, packing slips, PO Discrepancy Log and driver documents.
+ Verifies all required signatures are present: Receiver, Shipper, Supervisor or Manager as applicable.
+ Ensures PO discrepancies are reviewed and signed by the appropriate member of Management within the required time frame.
+ Logs out appointments with departure times.
+ Adheres to Work Instruction specifics.
+ **Marginal Function:** Maintain receiving or shipping office in a neat, clean, and orderly condition.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Ability to walk, stand, pull, climb, bend, reach, and stoop for an extended period of time.
+ Occasional medium lifting requirements (0-20 lbs.) and an occasional heavy lifting requirement (up to 75 lbs.).
+ Ability to exercise sound judgement and work independently with minimal supervision.
