**Job Summary**
The Receiving Clerk will maintain inventory of controlled materials and gowning supplies. This person will maintain records and track GMP materials required for various client projects under the guidance of the Associate Director Materials Management. They will also interact with Charles River Laboratories raw material suppliers and manufacturers and request required documentation for GMP materials release.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
* Assist in receiving of controlled materials following established procedures. Ensure all materials are received and stored in controlled materials storage locations to ensure cGMP compliance.
* Check and maintain sufficient inventory of common materials required at Rockville and submit request in ordering system if inventory is low.
* Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in daily activities.
* Complete (MSD's) and (MOS) or any other QC required forms
* Track overdue materials and component shortages for various client projects in BOM excel sheet and work with purchasing to successfully resolve the documentation required and request Certificates or any other required documentation with Charles River Laboratories suppliers.
* Serve as a contributor to cross-functional project teams for problem solving issues within the supply chain operations.
* Review multiple data inputs and understand how to actively support digitization through the implementation of automation with the use of industry specific tools (including Microsoft Excel and Access).
* Effectively utilize key processes and tools (i.e. BOM excel sheet for Projects) to pull data in order to build a deeper understanding of our operations.
* Work on mini projects assigned in supply chain department (e.g., tracking of materials, numbering of shelves for GMP materials storage)
* Drive Charles River Laboratories truck and transport GMP materials between sites.

**What you'll do:**

**SCHEDULE:** **Sunday - Thursday 11:00am to 7:30pm**
**Hourly Pay Range:** $19 - $24 depending on experience

**Position Summary:**
This role is responsible to support the Inventory Control functions to assure inventory accuracy within the facility. These responsibilities include inventory counting, product attribute maintenance, maintaining product dating standards, outbound pallet auditing, and facilitating slot placement of items in the warehouse.
**Here's what you'll do:**
+ Support the inventory process in the Distribution Center through counting, auditing of outgoing customer orders, system data maintenance, etc. Adjust inventory accordingly to maintain accuracy while ensuring compliance to inventory processes and procedures.
+ Coordinate with various departments: Buying, Accounting, Shipping, Receiving, Transportation, System Administration, outside carriers, and product vendors to ensure correct and accurate inventory.
+ Prepare inventory related reports and verify inventory balances/records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to identify shortages and discrepancies and research inaccuracies within inventory levels.
+ Assist in monitoring the slotting of product and the layout of warehouse to optimize efficiency.
+ Responsible for process and disposition of short-dated inventory, aged inventory, damage and salvage product.
+ Identify, research, correct and communicate receiving inventory errors to Accounting and/or Inventory Supervisor.
+ Communicate pertinent information and issues (i.e., inventory/receiving issues, warehouse out-of-stock inventory, product damage, etc.) to supervisor(s) in a timely manner.
+ Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
**Here's what you'll need:**
+ High school diploma or GED or combination of education/experience.
+ Prior warehouse/distribution experience preferred.
+ Good written and verbal communication skills.
+ Must have good math, problem-solving and data entry skills and attention to detail, and effective organization, prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
+ Must be able to count inventory and research issues. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), and ability to learn other system applications.
+ Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently within a fast-paced warehouse operation. Must be able to work within a warehouse environment.
+ Must follow safe working practices in accordance with Company safety policies and practices.
+ Must be able to work weekends, holidays, day or night hours, and overtime as necessary and as assigned, and must be able to work in the condition specified for an 8-10 hour shift.

**Job Responsibilities:**
+ **Inventory Management**
+ Execute the cycle count process and assist management by overseeing all aspects of inventory control and audit functions, including monitoring daily activities, reconciling shipping and receiving discrepancies, and reviewing problematic transactions.
+ Conduct physical counts of products, such as cycle counts, aisle checks, and vintage verification, following instruction from leadership.
+ Implement inventory control procedures and follow established best practices by reviewing inventory movements and trends.
+ Track physical counts to identify trends and assist in determining products that can be removed from forward pick locations, ensuring items with the highest velocity are easiest to pick.

**Minimum Qualifications:**
