USESI is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Receiving Associate to join our Distribution Team. This position will be located in our Middletown, CT location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receives and inspect materials for accuracy and damage using Vendor Packing Lists & Purchase Orders according to Standard Operating Procedure
- Accurately & efficiently Puts Away materials according to dating priority, system assignment, and Standard Operating Procedures
- Resolves Receiving / Put away / Returns / Process exceptions per Standard Operating Procedures
- Provides back-up support to the will-call center.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Follows all safety protocols and Standard Operating Procedures
- Is flexible in work assignments, and assists with other warehouse duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role is preferred
- Reach truck & sit-down forklift operator experience (certification may be required)
- Ability to safely lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet or exceed company productivity standards
- Team player with good communication skills

We are partnering with a reputable organization in the healthcare industry, located in New Haven, Connecticut, to find a detail-oriented and dependable Inventory Clerk. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing inventory processes to ensure that medical and office supplies are accurately tracked, stocked, and available when needed. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of a trusted healthcare provider while developing your inventory and administrative skills.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Supply Management:
+ Track and maintain inventory levels for medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and office products to ensure adequate stock at all times.
+ Process inventory orders, monitor deliveries, and promptly follow up on delayed or missing shipments.
+ Inventory Control:
+ Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
+ Ensure all items are stored properly and in compliance with healthcare safety and organizational standards.
+ Data Entry and Reporting:
+ Accurately enter inventory quantities, stock changes, and adjustments into inventory management software or ERP systems.
+ Generate inventory reports for management, highlighting issues such as shortages, surpluses, or discrepancies.
+ Vendor Relations:
+ Communicate with vendors and suppliers to confirm purchase orders, resolve issues, and maintain positive relationships.
+ Compliance and Quality Assurance:
+ Adhere to healthcare regulations and organizational policies regarding inventory handling, storage, and distribution.
+ Identify and address expired, damaged, or misallocated stock to minimize waste and uphold quality standards.
+ Internal Support:
+ Coordinate with internal teams, including medical and administrative staff, to understand and fulfill inventory needs.
+ Assist in setting up procedures for inventory-related workflows to improve efficiency.
Requirements
+ Education:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or experience in supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred.
+ Experience:
+ 1-3 years of experience in inventory control, materials management, or a related role, preferably in the healthcare industry.
+ Technical Skills:
+ Proficiency in inventory management software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
+ Strong Microsoft Excel skills for tracking inventory and generating reports.
+ Organizational Skills:
+ Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
+ Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
+ Communication Skills:
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with suppliers, team members, and leadership effectively.
+ Problem-Solving:
+ Proactive approach to identifying inventory issues and implementing solutions.
