**Job Description**
Cintas is seeking a Fire Extinguisher Technician for our Fire Protection business. Responsibilities include servicing, repairing and maintaining the portable fire equipment and emergency exit lighting systems of our established customer base upon completion of our training program. This includes leveraging our industry-leading expertise for systems testing and inspections, identification of code and non-conformance issues. To fuel our continued growth, selling and promoting additional products and services would also play an important part of the role.

+ High School Diploma/GED

+ Strong communication and customer service skills
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
+ Fire licenses may be required based on state or local regulations

Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's comprehensive Safety Management System (SMS) in accordance with FAA regulations (e.g., Part 5) and ICAO standards, ensuring all four components (Safety Policy, Safety Risk Management, Safety Assurance, Safety Promotion) are robust.
- Conduct regular and thorough safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across all operational areas, including flight operations, aircraft maintenance, ground handling, and airport facilities.
- Lead and participate in incident and accident investigations, including root cause analysis, identifying contributing factors, and developing effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor and analyze safety data, trends, and performance metrics using various tools and software to identify areas of concern, predict potential hazards, and inform safety improvement initiatives.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs for all employees, ensuring awareness, understanding, and strict adherence to safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure continuous compliance with all applicable local, national, and international aviation safety regulations and standards (e.g., FAA, NTSB, OSHA).
- Maintain accurate and detailed safety records, incident reports, audit findings, corrective action plans, and safety documentation.
- Promote a strong and proactive safety culture through regular communication, safety campaigns, newsletters, and active participation in safety committees and forums.
- Collaborate effectively with various departments, including flight operations, maintenance, quality assurance, human resources, and training, to integrate safety into all processes and procedures.
- Serve as a primary point of contact and liaison for regulatory agencies (e.g., FAA, NASA ASRS, NTSB) during audits, inspections, and investigations.
- Manage emergency response planning and drills, ensuring the organization is prepared for various scenarios and conducting post-drill evaluations.
- Review operational procedures, flight manuals, and maintenance processes to recommend modifications that enhance safety and operational efficiency.
- Stay current with evolving aviation safety regulations, industry best practices, emerging technologies, and human factors research.
- Manage safety reporting systems and encourage voluntary reporting of hazards and incidents.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Safety, Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in aviation safety, with a strong understanding of SMS principles and their practical application within an aviation environment.
- In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations (e.g., Part 121, 135, 145) and ICAO safety standards.
- Proven experience in conducting incident/accident investigations, root cause analysis, and safety risk management.
- Relevant safety certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional - CSP, IS-BAO Auditor, FAA Safety Management System Certificate) are highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify safety risks, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of preparing detailed technical reports, safety briefings, and delivering effective presentations to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Proficiency in safety management software, incident reporting systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and a strong commitment to fostering a proactive, just safety culture.
- Pilot's license or A&P certification is a plus, providing practical aviation experience.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
