About the role:

In the continuous pursuit of improving our application and infrastructure security, we are looking for a Sr Information Security Engineer to join our Security R&D team.

• Take the lead in designing and building out key features for our security-focused enterprise software services.

• Work with key stakeholders to research the best technology approach to meet business requirements.

• Mentors the team on technology concepts and ensures team compliance to best practices for design.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a key developer on major software projects.

• 5+ years of experience designing and building out major software projects and features.

• 5+ years of experience programming with either Python, C#, Java or Go.

• 3+ years of experience working with SQL databases (MySQL or Postgres).

• 1+ year of experience with modern IGA platform (ie. Saviynt, SailPoint) and cloud-native IAM Services (ie. AWS IAM, Azure AD, GCP IAM).

• 1+ year of experience working in a major cloud environment, AWS, GCP or Azure.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with Linux systems and general familiarity with terminal, scripting, ssh etc.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and/or GCP.

• Experience in configuring and deploying PAM solutions like CyberArk, BeyondTrust, and Saviynt.

• Deep understanding of Zero Trust architecture, identity federation (SAML, OIDC, OAuth2), and securing cloud environments.

• Experience designing and implementing complex role-based access control (RBAC), attribute-based access control (ABAC), and fine-grained permissions models across cloud and enterprise environments.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering; equivalent experience.

Information Security is a central focus of KP. The Information Security Engineer II supports this critical priority by maintaining and implementing the tools and processes used to protect our systems. In addition, the Information Security Engineer II responds to Security Events or Incidents, and under the direction of the CISO oversees our data governance program. Through these activities this position plays a vital role in keeping KP safe while enabling KP's overall success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Design and implement data protection solutions in a high-volume environment.
• Work with IT Teams to integrate data security into existing data pipelines and flows.
• Provide assistance in the selection, implementation and maintenance of security equipment and software.
• Provide recommendations and guidance to technology development and leadership; ensuring best practices, of effective security methods and procedures are maintained (such as secure coding practices, threat modeling, application security and proper use of encryption).

• Collaborate with other teams during security audits and other investigations.

Penetration Testing IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $84,200 - $65,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD 109,000 - 180,400 per year.

Job Description

Anvil is seeking a Security Engineer to join our team. As a Security Engineer, you will perform tests of customers' web and mobile applications, networks, and embedded systems. You will also be provided dedicated time for research and skills development.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with scoping customer engagements
• Perform penetration tests, solo and in teams consisting of other Anvil Secure Engineers
• Perform source code audits
• Generate vulnerability reports
• Participate in Anvil's research program

• At least two years of experience in information security
• Familiarity with penetration testing techniques and methodologies
• Ability to manually find vulnerabilities in source code
• Knowledge of Java, Python, and C/C++
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Annual salary range of $100,000-$140,000
