As the Supply Chain and Sourcing Sustainability Specialist , you will support global supplier environmental sustainability programs and objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and growing AFL's global supplier-facing Scope 3 data collection and environmental sustainability programs, including CDP data collection and reporting requirements, GHG reduction initiatives, water conservation, waste reduction, and general supply chain initiatives to reduce environmental impact.

Responsibilities
  • Work hand in hand with the Global Environmental Sustainability Specialist to develop and implement programs in alignment with AFL's sustainability programs.
  • Develop and implement supplier sustainability processes and practices related to global supplier development.

Summary:

The Supply Chain Purchasing Specialist is responsible for processing drop shipment Purchase Orders to meet SLA and accuracy guidelines, maintain updated ETAs on all open orders in SAP, and provide sales support as needed.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Process assigned supplier(s) hardware, software and subscription/license purchases, orders and returns
  • Update Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA's) in SAP on all outstanding purchase orders
  • Manage Open Orders to ensure timely shipment and invoicing
  • Clean parked/blocked invoices
  • Monitor sales pipeline, working directly with the Supplier Business Manager
  • Maintain relationship with supplier partner(s)
  • Maintain an accessible and responsive relationship with ScanSource sales teams
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of this position

Reporting Relationships:

  • Direct supervision given from Manager, Supply Chain - Purchasing
  • No Direct Reports
  • Daily contact with supplier representatives, sales reps and ScanSource management
  • Will occasionally make presentations to both supplier and ScanSource Senior Management

Credentials:

Required:

  • High School/GED
  • Organizational Skills
  • Computer Skills (MS Office)

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 2 or more years of relevant experience (technology or distribution)
  • SAP Experience
  • Proficiency in foreign language (Spanish, Portuguese, French, German)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit a computer terminal for long periods of time
  • Ability to be physically in attendance at workstation at designated company office location during normal business hours designated for the position
  • Ability to travel up to 10 percent of the time
  • Ability to lift 10 pounds

Compensation:

Compensation: $45,000

Actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on a number of variables including work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer. This position is not eligible for a variable pay component as part of the hiring range.
