ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Work closely with the kitchen production supervisor to ensure daily operations of production are efficient and accurate while packaging finished goods at budgeted cost and that conform to established internal specifications.
  • Enforce compliance with GMPs, personal hygiene and safety standards and all FDA /USDA regulations, ready to eat proteins (USDA) or any other product required.
  • Collaborate in indicated activities on different production lines.
  • Maintain communication with all levels and departments of food plant (Team Leads, Production supervisors, Maintenance technicians, QA technicians, Plant Manager)
  • Learn new procedures inside production sections, positive attitude to collaborate with another general labor associates.
  • Respect and comply all safety company policies and procedures to work in a safety environment.
  • Attend all trainings required by the company.
  • Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.
  • Clerical: Be able to learn how to fill production paper work and reports.
  • Customer Service: Strong understanding that all production has to meet all Quality and Food Safety standards to achieve customer relationship goals, and consumer satisfaction.
  • Dependability: Ability to follow instructions, respond to management direction and solicit feedback to improve performance.
  • Language: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedures manuals in both English and Spanish.
  • Mathematical: Ability to do simple math, such as subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to communicate any issue with line, production, or any other situation to team Lead and Production Supervisors.
  • Production and Processing: Ability to perform production job following up Team Lead and Production Supervisor indications. Willingness to learn and perform activities by their own.
  • Quantity: Ability to meet productivity standards and complete work in a timely manner, and if any deviation is present, report immediately to Team Lead or Production Supervisors.
  • Safety and Security: Ability to meet safety standards, and personal protective equipment and safety devices. Ability to perform safe operation of all machinery, tools and equipment and observe security procedures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bilingual: Spanish and English preferred.

Physical Requirements This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset.
