Talentry's world-class client is growing, and is looking for an experienced Software Development Manger to guide a high performing team to develop cloud-based and cloud-deployed software by working cross-functionally in alignment with corporate business initiatives.

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers.
  • Plan and implement enterprise applications and integrations.
  • Design, develop, and architect solutions.
  • Manage the lifecycle of enterprise applications from selection to maintenance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
  • Automate release pipelines and testing for quality improvement.

  • Identify and mitigate risks in software development.

Requirements

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in IT and software engineering roles.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Experience with enterprise applications (ERP, WMS, MES).
  • Proficiency in DevOps tools and code repositories (Jira, Azure Dev Ops, GitHub).
  • Experience with SQL and SQL server (Oracle is a plus).
  • Experience with .Net C# and other object-oriented programming languages.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS).
  • Knowledge of Cloud ERP Systems.

We have a great opportunity for an Electrical Engineer System Design! The location is in Poway, CA (San Diego, CA)
Under general supervision and with regular review, this position supports the engineering staff in the analysis, investigation and resolution of engineering problems of moderate scope and complexity. Assignments are normally accompanied by general instructions and suggestions, outlining possible approaches, sources or information, and potential problems to be encountered with work reviewed regularly for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy. Tasks involve the exercise of independent judgment and discretion about matters of significance. Documents findings and implemented solutions and communicates results to engineering staff. Contacts are primarily internal with infrequent inter-organization or customer contact on routine matters. May provide direction to design or technician staff.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Develops innovative but practical solutions for advanced technical systems, including electrical power systems, vehicle management/flight control systems, payload subsystems, etc.
+ Architects electrical systems, evaluates electrical circuits and their operation at a system level, develops aircraft power budgets, evaluates equipment for compliance to GA-ASI requirements, etc.
+ Provides technical direction to internal functional engineering disciplines and vendors.
+ Develops and presents reports and technical briefs that clearly communicate complex technical concepts during engineering meetings and program reviews.
+ May function in an advisory or leadership role for a project/program.
+ Represents the organization as a prime technical contact within the engineering team for assigned project(s)/program(s).
+ Addresses technical issues requiring novel and creative approaches drawing on engineering concepts.
+ Participates in the development of new or expansion of existing business opportunities.
+ Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
+ Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

+ Typically requires a bachelors degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
+ Must have a general understanding of electrical engineering concepts, such as power, grounding, analog/digital circuitry, databus architectures, etc., experience demonstrating a broad application of those concepts, and ability to expand knowledge of related concepts, theories, and practices.
+ Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment and organize work assignments to meet established timetables.

What you'll do

Viasat needs a highly experienced hardware engineer to consult on product and board designs for several programs within the Tactical Communications Systems group. Your expertise with hardware architecture, design, and production of tactical radio modems, interfaces with crytographic devices, BFT (Blue Force Tracking), Viasat NetAgility routers and SDR (Software Defined Radio) components will be applied formulating solutions and constructing emerging technologies prototypes.


The day-to-day

Design, implementation, prototyping, testing, and documentation of Viasat next generation SATCOM terminal and ground systems products.


What you'll need

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • 20+ years hardware design or sustaining experience
  • Experience designing high speed digital circuit boards
  • Foundational knowledge of analog and digital logic and timing considerations
  • Must be able to prioritize, be detail oriented, and have history of handling time well to accomplish multiple tasks in parallel
  • Ability to guide other team members to viable product solutions
  • US citizenship and ability to maintain a SECRET security clearance

What will help you on the job

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work with a temporally and geographically diverse team
  • Ability to document and report on technical solutions/findings
  • Solid understanding of MS Office products for documentation creation and modification

Salary range

$178,500.00 - $81,500.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is 221,500.00- 332,500.00/ annually
