Position Summary:

As a Temporary Store Clerk, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our valued customers. You will play a crucial role in stocking merchandise, maintaining store displays, and promoting customer satisfaction. Your contributions will help maximize store profitability while safeguarding company assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Unload trucks and process inventory efficiently.
• Follow procedures for receiving, unpacking, and storing merchandise, ensuring stock is either stored in the stockroom or placed directly onto the sales floor.
• Construct attractive merchandise displays.
• Restock shelves, rotate merchandise, and maintain an organized sales floor.
• Assist customers in locating products and provide outstanding service.
• Perform cleaning tasks, including mopping floors, cleaning restrooms, and taking out trash.
• Adhere to company policies and industry standards.
• Greet each customer warmly upon their arrival.
• Operate the cash register and accurately process transactions.
• Handle cash transactions and maintain drawer accuracy.
• Assist with merchandise ordering when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store's front end and assist in setting up displays.

Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
• Ability to interpret plan-o-grams and follow merchandising guidelines.
• Familiarity with cash handling and basic mathematical concepts.
• Experience with cash register operations.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
