Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Chief Systems Engineer with extensive experience in systems engineering for large-scale enterprise software and hardware engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both commercial and government (IC or DoD) environments, with a proven track record of designing and deploying complex solutions for operational missions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the systems engineering efforts for large-scale enterprise software and hardware engineering projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Oversee the design and deployment of large-scale enterprise software and hardware solutions for operational missions within IC or DoD environments.
- Implement Agile methodologies and processes at scale, incorporating modern commercial industry best practices such as DevSecOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and vertical slice development approaches.
- Manage and lead large-scale programs encompassing multiple development teams, ensuring effective integration and deployment through a comprehensive scaled integration and deployment pipeline (more than 100 personnel).
- Communicate effectively with leadership, stakeholders, and development/industry communities to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
- Maintain knowledge of IC, DoD, Air Force, Space Force, or SSC processes and procedures for delivering systems to production environments.
- Design and deploy highly available, scalable cloud-native (IaaS and PaaS) solutions within commercial industry.
- Develop and implement highly scalable Data as a Service (DaaS) solutions within commercial industry.
- Demonstrate expertise through professional publications and/or patents.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and other team members as needed.
Required:
- Minimum 20 years of progressive systems engineering experience for large scale enterprise software and hardware engineering projects.
- Minimum 5 years of IC or DoD experience designing and deploying large scale enterprise software and hardware solutions for operational missions.
- Minimum 2 years of SAP experience working across complex mission partners and classified programs.
- Experience with Agile methodology and process at scale, modern commercial industry enterprise software engineering mindsets (DevSecOps, SRE, vertical slice, etc) , best practices and patterns for successful continuous integration, test, delivery and deployment at scale.
- Effective management and leadership experience with large scale programs encompassing multiple development teams with a comprehensive scaled integration and deployment pipeline (more than 100 personnel)
- Effective communication with leadership, stakeholders, and development/industry communities
- Knowledgeable with respect to IC, DoD, Air Force, Space Force or SSC processes and procedures for delivering systems to production environments

The pay range for this position is $70,000/year to 240,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract wages, job- related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. **Job Description**
**AECOM** is actively seeking an experienced **Environmental Engineer** for employment within our **Environmental Remediation Practices group** in the **Long Beach, CA office (or Orange)** to support remediation system design and operations, soil and groundwater investigations and remediation projects. The candidate will have prior experience in remediation system design and management/oversight of operations, maintenance, and monitoring. In addition, the candidate will have experience in data management and technical report production. Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical for this role.
This is a Technical Lead position; therefore, the ideal candidate must be able to work independently and productively in a collaborative team-environment, foster team building through close interpersonal relationships and mentorship, display a high level of organization and communication, and demonstrate a strong desire to learn from Technical Leads and Project Managers. For the right candidate, this position holds significant growth potential.
**Responsibilities include:**
+ Remedial technology design
+ Modeling and analysis of remediation performance and subsurface conditions
+ Interfacing and writing reports to clients and regulatory agencies
+ Planning and managing environmental field work, including remediation systems operations, maintenance, and monitoring, groundwater sampling, fluid level gauging and oversight of subcontractors
+ Project Management tasks including budgeting, schedule and scope development and tracking
+ Flexibility to work on a wide variety of projects, a positive attitude, willingness to mentor junior staff, and commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or closely related field and 6 years of relevant experience and/or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
+ US Citizen
+ Candidates must already possess a PE certification (does not have to be CA)
+ Valid driver's license

**Additional Information**
