Position Title: System Administrator
Location: Remote
Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Expected Duration: Initial 6 month-contract
Job Type: Contract
Pay Range: $46/hr-$50/hr

Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Windows/Linux System Administrator that will be working in a highly collaborative, multi-platform and multi-disciplined environment.The System Administrator will be responsible for administering systems in Azure and AWS Cloud Environments.
The candidate will be responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to a Windows/Linux infrastructure in the cloud (Azure & AWS) environments.
Duties include, but are not limited to, server management; storage management (logical and physical); cross platform authentication and access management; software and license configuration.

Key Responsibilities:

* Providing infrastructure operations and support for existing cloud applications and migration of on prem applications to the cloud
* Overseeing cloud operations and designing infrastructure for new workloads
* Continuously improving and maturing cloud services
* Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous RedHat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows environment.
* Working in both cloud (Azure & AWS) and on prem environments.
* Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
* Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
* Previous experience working with CI/CD Pipeline, GitHub, and GitHub Actions.

Preferred Qualifications:

* 3+ years of Azure experience * Microsoft Azure certification(s)
* MongoDB knowledge is a plus.
* Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Terraform/HCL) for automation tasks and the development of custom scripts to streamline Azure infrastructure management and deployment processes.

Summary:
Consolidated Electrical Distributors Inc. (CED) is one of the largest electrical solutions distributors and product suppliers in the country and we are seeking an IT Operations Specialist for CED's data center operations. Located in Irving TX, the IT Operations team is responsible for CED's data centers and IT infrastructure supporting our 700+ locations across the country, as well as the CED Service Center. The successful candidate will have experience providing support for and maintaining data center IT infrastructure and Microsoft technologies. CED is focused on finding the best talent as we continue to grow and build upon the success that was started in 1957.
The position will work with CED management, system engineers, software development groups, the IT help desk, and IT project managers to support and maintain these IT systems and networks.
Reports to: IT Operations Manager
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
+ 3+ years of experience in various IT operations disciplines including Active Directory/identity management, LAN administration, desktop support, email systems, backup systems, monitoring and alert systems, server administration and storage device management.
+ Physical qualifications required to perform the job function to lift 25 lbs., climb stairs, sit for long periods of time.
+ Expertise with Windows server OS and administration of various operations applications
+ Proficiency to read, write and communicate orally the English language, especially I.T. technical terms and concepts.
+ Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
+ Competence to operate a personal computer, printers and external computer peripherals.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Certified in one or more of the following areas: AWS, Azure, CCNA, MCSE, VMware
+ Skilled in technical writing to develop operations manuals/guides.
+ Experience with utilizing support ticketing systems

+ Must possess ability to work under pressure.
+ Must possess ability to multi-task.
+ Ability to organize multiple work tasks and prioritize them to meet specific deadlines.
+ Established experience and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
+ Confidence interacting with a wide range of people from clerical staff, network specialists, developers, senior management, and vendors.
+ Proven troubleshooting skills

+ Coordinate and communicate project activities with other IT Department stakeholders

+ Escalate operations outages and security issues though clear and concise communication.
+ Provide technical support and guidance to IT engineers and application owners.
+ Manage and maintain CED's Active Directory environment.
+ Manage monitoring tools across CEDs networks, systems, and applications.
+ Resolve and remediate operational issue and security vulnerabilities in a Windows environment.
+ Manage critical backup and replications application.
+ Administer patch management and patch delivery solutions.
+ Create and maintain IT operational documentation.
+ Assist engineering in the design and implementation of technical solutions.
+ Develop and maintain runbooks and procedural guides related to operational areas assigned.
+ Perform special projects as assigned.

**ServiceNow System Administrator**
This person will mainly be responsible for
1. Software and Hardware Model Management
2. Helping with Lifecycle reports
3. Help manage Class and Category alignment with Models and CI's.
**Job Requirements:**
1. Work with the developers to maintain the stability and usability of the SAMPro module in ServiceNow across all production and non-production environments
2. Configure and maintain SAM PRO applications, workflows, and business rules to meet business requirements
3. Manage user access, security roles, and permissions associated to CI, Asset, OT, and SAMPro
4. Develop and optimize SAM PRO processes, forms, and views
5. Create and edit ITAM reports, dashboards, and performance analytics
6. Develop and maintain test plans, cases, and procedures for CMDB, Hardware/Software Assets
7. Perform functional, regression, and integration testing on CMDB, Hardware/Software Assets
8. Identify and document defects/bugs and ensure resolution
9. Provide QA support for new CMDB, Hardware/Software Assets features, configurations, and upgrades
10. Continuously improve SAM PRO and processes with a focus on quality, efficiency, and user experience
11. Collaborate with the ServiceNow and ITAM Teams to configure, develop, support, and maintain the platform.
12. Configure, Manage and Maintain all Models, including, but not limited to, software, hardware, and consumables, so that the model data can be leveraged to create reports on asset lifecycle, cost management, and potential risks associated with a specific model.
13. Troubleshoot Software Model to Software Installation match, working with the SAM Team to maintain a compliance position.
14. Coordinate with the ITAM Team to manage the lifecycle of a model from creation to retirement.
15. Manage ServiceNow License configuration to report on the ServiceNow license compliance for the different modules GPI owns.
16. Understanding of the SaaS (software as a service) business & technology model
17. Work with the CMDB Master Data Lead to manage the Class and Category alignments with Models and CI's.
