Responsibilities:
• Lead the design, planning, and implementation of automated and manual test strategies across client/server, desktop, and workstation-based applications, with selective coordination and integration with device-level components where applicable.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Required Skills and Experience:
• Strong knowledge of standard QA and Agile development methodologies, with the ability to creatively and efficiently plan, organize, and execute independent verification and validation of product functionality, including load, performance, and security testing, and report results
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical software requirements, specifications
• Senior-level proficiency in both manual and automated testing, including test strategy, planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting
• Proficiency with test management/ALM tools such as Quality Center, JIRA, or equivalent
• Experience in automation for non-web-based systems, including desktop and N-tier client-server applications. Candidates with experience limited to web testing may not be a good fit for this role.

Skills and Requirements
At least 4 years of prior work experience in electrical/mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, test and measurement, or other relevant disciplines
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, or relevant disciplines
Hands-on and well versed in using hand tools, assembly, bring-up and testing
Experience writing and maintaining test scripts/programs and data analysis
Troubleshooting and electro-mechanical system debugging experience
Basic experience with PLCs (Beckhoff, Allen Bradley or similar)
Basic CAD experience (CREO, SolidWorks or similar)
Basic PCB design experience (Altium Designer or similar)
Goal oriented and ability to prioritize and multitask
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Description
Develop and execute software tests to identify software problems for driverless technology company. Duties may include: Build simulations for testing AV (Autonomous vehicle) software stack to discover issues and act as gating for software releases. Collaborate with cross functional teams including Data Science (DS) and Systems Engineering (SE) for designing
gating/non-gating protocols to track existing issues and detect progression/regression in AV software in every release and PR merges. Design and build solutions for generating complex simulation scenarios programmatically using Python and SQL to stress test the AV software. Create test plans for new features and capabilities to validate AV software performance. Build new tools and solutions for increasing the productivity of the Systems Testing team to improve quality of company- wide testing deliverables. Build solutions using existing simulation tools
for automating the process of test creation based on the events observed on the road for specific problem areas to increase the test coverage and reduce the time to test creation. Collaborate with DS and SE teams to identify and devise the metrics required for measuring the performance of AV. Triage and analyze the test failures encountered and apply the fixes for
ensuring the testing quality standards are met. Understand the requirements of testing from customers and provide the testing solutions. Create simulation artifacts that allow testing the AV stack accurately. Document and track the deliverables in JIRA for efficient cross collaboration and leadership visibility. Report issues/bug in the simulation tools to improve the overall
testing quality. Work with the tooling team and provide required customer feedback and requirements to build a good quality tool for increased productivity. Train users on test creation, execution, and analysis. Review all tests used to verify a feature. May telecommute.
**Additional Job Description**
**REQUIREMENTS:** Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of work experience as a Systems Test Engineer, Software Engineer, Software Test Engineer, or a related occupation. Background, education, or experience must include: Developing Automated Pipelines for Test Creation, Maintenance, and Reporting using object-oriented programming; SQL and BigQuery; Developing Robot Operating System (ROS) using Python programming; Mathematical Modeling; Data Science/Machine learning and applications; Building Test Automation Framework; and Systems Testing.
**Compensation:**
+ The expected base compensation for this role is $162,400.00 to $205,000.00 Annually.
+ Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
+ Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
