**Responsibilities:**
An A&AS contractor is a knowledgeable and trusted advisor to the Government Program Office. As an **SDA Electro-Optical Systems Test Engineer** , you will perform a wide range of engineering tasks, research, studies, and analysis that provide engineering, technical, and managerial direction for Test Planning, Test Development, and Test Execution and assist the Government to oversee Test Planning, Test Development and Test Execution by the Government's prime contractors. You will also support coordination and execution of inter-agency relationships required for testing. Duties include, but are not limited to:
+ Provide advice as the program's primary expert in Test & Evaluation (T&E)
+ Collaborate with the Government program team, contractors and Government test organizations to develop test strategies/plans/reports/briefings, and participate in test execution, verification or analysis

+ Evaluate the configuration, capability, and operational relevance of test environments

+ Devise new and innovative approaches to problems encountered during testing

+ Support the development of system test plans in accordance with project technical, schedule, and cost constraints, support site and system test activities with contractor and Program Office personnel
+ Coordinate and lead resolution of system issues and deficiencies with prime contractors, depot contractors other support contractors; monitor contractor performance during Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E), fielding, Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E), and Operational Acceptance (OA)
+ Provide relevant input to acquisition planning activities, upgrades and modifications, and studies and interface with stakeholders, contractor personnel, and product integrators to include the Program Manager and Program Executive Officer through the Mission-Oriented Test Readiness Certification (MOTRC)
+ Develop and maintain relationships with DoD, Air Force, Space Force, and Intelligence Community stakeholders throughout the Space Domain Awareness enterprise

**Qualifications:**

Electrical Test Engineer - 635415
Location: Colorado Springs, CO (Local candidates preferred) Position Overview:
An established and rapidly growing engineering organization is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to support radiation effects testing of electronic components and systems. This role involves evaluating the radiation tolerance and system survivability of electronics in natural and man-made radiation environments, including terrestrial, airborne, and space-based applications. Most work supports the space and defense industries, with some projects involving nuclear environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong analog and digital circuit design experience to develop new skills in a highly specialized field. Radiation effects testing experience is not required-comprehensive training will be provided. Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement electrical test setups for a wide range of radiation effects testing scenarios.
  • Evaluate and analyze test data for validity, performance trends, and statistical relevance.
  • Document test procedures, results, and observations in detailed technical reports and test plans, including the effects of radiation on electronic parts and materials.
  • Perform functional and parametric testing of components such as diodes, transistors, capacitors, resistors, and memory devices.
  • Use data sheets to guide test configurations and performance validation.
  • Apply knowledge of analog and digital circuit design to develop and test custom circuitry as needed for testing protocols.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred; degrees in Engineering or Physics with relevant experience will be considered.
  • Candidates with a BSEET (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology) will be considered if they demonstrate strong relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience designing and testing analog and digital electronic circuits.
  • Strong understanding of electronic components, their functionality, and how they operate within a circuit.
  • Analog circuit design experience is required.
  • Ability to test components based on data sheet specifications.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to project sensitivity and government compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with or experience using Automated Test Equipment (ATE) is a plus.
  • Exposure to military standards for radiation testing is beneficial but not required training will be provided.
  • Experience working with high-reliability electronics for space, defense, or nuclear applications.
Additional Information:
  • This role is focused on radiation effects testing of electronics used in satellites, ballistic systems, and other mission-critical platforms.
  • Candidates without radiation testing experience will be trained in industry-specific standards and methods.
  • Ideal candidates will have experience working in an electronics lab environment, designing and testing both analog and digital circuits, and be comfortable interpreting technical documentation and specifications.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Design, develop, and execute automated and manual tests for a wide range of services and features
+ Manage test teams in multiple locations under one test methodology
+ Identify, analyze, and document defects and track resolutions
+ Lead and participate in test planning, project status meetings and reviews
+ Design and develop a reliable, scalable and maintainable test framework
+ Manage test schedule, planning and execution, across all development efforts
+ Design, manage and execute testing against web services
+ Manage test analytics process in determining test coverage against all services
+ Author test plans and reports
+ Design, maintain test cards across all development efforts
+ Brief customers on status of tests and readiness of development cycles
**Required Skills**
+ Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical discipline, with at least 8 years of software testing experience; relevant experience may be accepted in place of a degree
+ Experience writing test plans, test scenarios, test cases, execution of test cases and documentation and interpretation of test results
+ Experience with some or all phases of testing: functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
+ Extensive design and understanding of Agile test methodology principles
+ Experience creating manual test scripts from scratch
+ Great interpersonal and communications skills, while establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with team members
+ Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment, and take the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly.

In this role, you will test code and scripting to integrate a satellite ground control system used by multiple mission partners.
