High-Level Description: The Senior Load Balance/Traffic Management Administrator leads enterprise-level traffic optimization, secure access enforcement, and service delivery continuity through advanced load balancing and DNS/IP management capabilities in support of critical intelligence mission systems.
Detailed Description: This role is responsible for the configuration, sustainment, and optimization of high-availability traffic management solutions using F5 and Infoblox platforms across multiple secure enclaves. The administrator will manage SSL/TLS offloading, enforce PKI-based authentication, and ensure the validity of digital certificates through automated monitoring and expiration alerts to prevent service disruptions. The position supports system scalability by provisioning virtual servers, defining VLANs, integrating servers with distribution switches, and maintaining STIG-compliant configurations across Windows, Linux, and virtual appliances.
Working in close coordination with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams, the administrator supports the secure delivery of services through virtual environments (VMware vSphere, vCenter, Hyper-V), and leverages automation tools such as Terraform , Chef , and SCCM for baseline provisioning, patch deployment, and configuration enforcement. Responsibilities also include DNS/IPAM administration, print queue management, backup/recovery operations (NetBackup), and VM snapshot maintenance.
The administrator participates in monthly security template updates, leads traffic-related incident resolution, and collaborates on cross-domain platform integrations. All work is performed in a classified environment with visibility into system state, health, and performance via integrated AIOps dashboards and automated alerting systems. The administrator ensures that privileged and tenant users operate within least-privilege access models, contributing directly to mission readiness and continuity of operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Security+ CE certification and TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph required.
- 8+ years of experience in IT operations, with 5+ years specializing in enterprise load balancing, DNS, or traffic management.
- Hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP (LTM, GTM) and Infoblox for IP/DNS management.
- Expertise in SSL/TLS offloading, PKI certificate integration, and automated certificate renewal and monitoring.
- Strong background in managing virtual environments and supporting VMware vSphere, vCenter, and Hyper-V.
- Proficiency in infrastructure automation using Terraform, Chef, and SCCM.
- Experience supporting STIG compliance, secure enclave operations, and classified infrastructure audits.
- Familiarity with NetBackup, snapshot management, and print services in enterprise environments.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot system and traffic flow issues, develop technical documentation, and support mission-critical operations under tight timelines.

About the program
Our organization has supported the U.S. Navy s Strategic Systems Program (SSP) continually since the program s inception in the 1950s. SSP developed the first sea-based, underwater-launched Strategic Weapon System (SWS), a defense system that is truly critical to our national security. For more than six decades, SSP has maintained and upgraded this weapon system and we have been there every step of the way. The sea-based SWS is the ultimate stealthy weapon system and as the first leg of the U.S. nuclear triad. With over 70% of our nation s nuclear arsenal its importance to maintaining world peace cannot be overstated. The development of Columbia, the most advanced nuclear-powered, nuclear-armed submarine ever designed, as well the next D5LE2 weapon system is under way and will begin to be rolled out over the next decade. The Navy projects this system to be operational through 2084, meaning the program will have a total life span of more than 120 years. This is a truly unique program and BAE Systems employees on this program understand they are part of an important legacy.
Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of a civil engineer involve a wide range of tasks related to the design, analysis, and evaluation of facilities. Here is an overview of the key responsibilities:
+ Review engineering design and documents and confirming specifications developed by others.
+ Support construction projects by studying and developing project concept, architectural drawings, and models.
+ Support development of Military Construction project development by collecting and studying reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photographs, and tests on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and related topographical and geologic data.
+ Determines project costs by calculating labor, material, and related costs.
+ Creates feasibility study by analyzing engineering design, conducting environmental impact studies, and assembling data.
+ Review and comment on engineering documents prepared by others to include construction specifications, plans, and schedules.
+ Provide engineering information by answering questions and requests.
+ Maintains project database by imputing data into computer programs (entering data) and completing backups.
+ Contributes to team effort to accomplish tasks as needed.
+ Building Codes and Regulations: Candidate is responsible for staying updated on building codes, regulations, and standards relevant to civil design. They must ensure that their designs comply with local, national, and international codes and regulations governing civil safety, accessibility, fire protection, and other applicable requirements.
+ Collaboration and Coordination: Candidate is responsible for collaboration with architects, other engineers, and construction professionals to verify integrated civil design are provided for the projects. They will coordinate with other engineering disciplines, such as structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers, to ensure compatibility and coordination between different systems within the project.
+ The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting with the development of comprehensive Military Construction (MILCON) documentation and construction cost estimates. In this role, you'll lead diverse multi-discipline design projects, working on both public & private site development projects! - Assign tasks to Junior Engineers & Drafters; this includes providing mentorship & guidance in developing SWM strategies, Utility Coordination, and Erosion & Sediment Control (E&SC) Design.

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or a related discipline).
- 7+ years of professional experience working in Engineering (preferably with Land Development design projects).
- Professional Engineer license in VA (we will consider candidates who are able to successfully obtain their PE within 6 months of their start date).
- Project Management experience; proven ability to manage multi-discipline projects is preferred.
- Experience working on brownfield (land redevelopment) as well as greenfield projects.
- Advanced proficiency with site design functions: site layout, grading, utility design, stormwater management, erosion control, municipal & land-use regulatory approvals, etc.
- Experience with designing SWM plans; proficiency with Hydrology and Hydraulics (H&H) modeling tools (e.g.: HydroCAD, Hydraflow, etc.) is preferred.
- Proficiency with engineering / CADD tools (e.g.: AutoCAD Civil 3D, etc.).
- Proficiency with standard office & project management software applications: Microsoft Office 365 (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook), etc.
- Proven ability to demonstrate strategic thinking skills, especially with understanding overarching project goals while integrating various design disciplines effectively.
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic & challenging team environment as a collaborative Team Player while also maintaining the ability to work independently.

Job Summary
Langan is seeking a Site / Civil Project Engineer to join its collaborative team in Arlington, VA. This individual will serve a key function in performing and coordinating the planning, design and permitting of civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects, and coaching, training, and overseeing staff. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a passionate, collaborative team of civil engineers, working on exciting and meaningful projects across many different market sectors. Job Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design and permitting of civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects. Coordinates and provides client communication;
- Design and oversee site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through completion;
- Develop new clients for the firm and maintain relationships with existing clients;
- Perform and manage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines. Monitors budgets, schedules, and project timelines. Minimizes write-offs by keeping projects on budget;
- Report and proposal writing. Write and review draft reports, including feasibility studies, stormwater management reports, technical specifications, and utility reports;
- Provide expertise in hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design including SWPPP preparation and water quality compliance;
- Work closely with office leadership to develop growth plans and ensure staff utilization; and
- Perform other duties as requested.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering;
- Valid Professional Engineer license;
- 6+ years of related site/civil land development experience;
- Knowledge of local city, county and state land use processes and regulations;
- Strong client development, client communication, client management abilities, and ability to develop new work;
- Site/civil experience on a variety of project sites including the ability to design site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through completion;
- Demonstrated ability effectively managing projects from concept through construction documents;
- Self-starter with the ability to manage, motivate, mentor and lead others;
- Ability to work well on multi-disciplinary projects;
- Expertise in stormwater management design, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design, and SWPPP preparation;
