The proposed salary range for this position is $175,000.00 - $280,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 25%.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of commercial lines underwriters, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accuracy, efficiency, and profitability.
- Developing and implementing underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent and effective risk selection and pricing across all commercial lines of business.
- Monitoring underwriting results, analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs), and identifying trends to drive strategic adjustments and improvements.
- Collaborating with actuaries, product development, and claims departments to ensure competitive pricing, appropriate coverage, and market alignment.
- Reviewing and approving complex or large-value commercial risks, providing expert judgment and decision-making.
- Managing the underwriting authority and guidelines for the underwriting team, ensuring adherence and compliance.
- Conducting regular audits and quality assurance reviews of underwriting files and processes.
- Identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to capture market share within the commercial insurance sector.
- Representing the underwriting department in cross-functional meetings and contributing to broader company initiatives.
- Staying current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks that impact commercial insurance underwriting.
- Cultivating strong relationships with brokers and agents, understanding their needs and providing exceptional support.
