Position Summary

The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for developing, implementing, and facilitating activities that improve processes/systems supporting overall planning, procurement, and material flow throughout the organization. The supply chain analyst will focus on optimizing ERP system configuration, developing inventory strategies, & streamlining standard processes to reduce order lead time, improve output and reduce total cost.

To be successful in this role, you will need a passion for data analysis, process improvement, system optimization, and a healthy dissatisfaction for status quo. The ideal candidate is proactive, results oriented and experienced in lean tools.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical and system support to drive JIT material availability to ensure material supply meets production requirements while minimizing cost.

  • Use data driven analysis, mathematical modelling, and sound inventory management practices to determine optimal inventory & human resources.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to implement flexible material processes & Systems to provide shortage risk visibility, safety stock levels, & operational efficiency.

  • Work cross-functionally to support supply chain priorities within sites and division; as necessary, lead projects that close gaps and capitalize on opportunities

  • Support building of consistent material planning processes while ensuring Bill of Material (BOM) integrity.

  • Drive root cause problem solving in inventory, ERP system, Bill of Material, and transactional issues on production work orders

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, Science or Business.

  • 3-5 years of experience in a supply chain role

  • Working knowledge of Lean practices; Daily Management, Standard Work, Kaizen, Heijunka, Poka-yoke, and Gemba

  • Systematic with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to positively influence the actions of colleagues outside the direct reporting structure

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with senior leadership

  • Able to develop solutions to complex problems which require an in-depth degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness

  • Project management experience

  • Willingness to travel up to 10%

  • Minimum of three (3 ) years of progressive experience (usually post-education) in supply chain, supplier quality, supply chain continuous improvement, manufacturing operations, or related area.

  • Minimum of five (5 ) years of experience in a process development leader, operational excellence/CI manager or lean facilitation/coaching role

Moog, Inc. is looking for a Senior Supply Chain CI Transformation Lead. You will report to the Commercial Aircraft Group Global Supplier Development Manager. You will support the supplier development teams by defining, planning and facilitating events using lean methodologies as required. You will support the supplier development global strategy - this includes, defining, implementing, and sustaining performance transformational activities through continuous improvements of our strategic and critical suppliers. You will need to interface both internally and externally and understand supply chain complexities, advanced lean methodologies and experience in facilitation of complex improvement events. You may be located in East Aurora, New York (preferred) or at one of our Global CAG locations.

As a Supply Chain CI Transformation Lead, you will

  • Identify continuous improvement and lean opportunities and prioritizes against the needs of the business
  • Lead strategic transformational project teams to increase the pace and effectiveness of performance within the ISC
  • Deliver RCCA plans at supplier sites to ensure the efficient resolution of quality or delivery conflicts
  • Influence and steer supplier action plans for the benefit of Moog and its customers
  • Facilitate, develop and drive development efforts and objectives with strategic and critical suppliers
  • Support and coach strategy deployment activities with the ISC executive team
  • Support strategic supplier development plans that work in collaboration with the supplier and Moog's supplier development teams to ensure best performance

Keeping the back of house in order is a key factor in successful mission planning. As an Automated Logistical Specialist in the Army National Guard, you will maximize your organizational skills and learn the ins and outs of supply chain management. From storage and distribution to warehouse management, your primary responsibility will be to supervise and perform specific functions in order to maintain equipment records and parts.

Major duties include: establishing and maintaining records (stock lists, inventory, material control, etc.), maintaining stock locator system and administering document control procedures, processing requests and turn-in documents, performing prescribed load-list and shop-stock list duties in manual and automated supply applications, and operating material-handling equipment.

Job Duties
• Construct bins, shelving and other storage aids
• Simplify and standardize the collection and use of maintenance data
• Raise the quality and accuracy of performance, cost, and parts data through improved maintenance management
