Infosys secures $1.5 billion AI contract with global firm

Infosys, India's second-largest software services exporter, has landed a substantial $1.5 billion contract with a global corporation, spanning a 15-year timeframe. 

The identity of this corporate partner remains undisclosed.

Infosys has committed to providing enhanced digital experiences and business operation services.

It’ll leverage the company’s platforms and artificial intelligence solutions. 

Earlier this month, US semiconductor giant Nvidia unveiled strategic AI collaborations with Indian conglomerate Reliance Industries and the Tata group's Tata Consultancy Services.

The company focuses on creating generative applications.

This deal follows Infosys' recent $2 billion agreement with an existing client centred on providing AI and automation services over five years. 

Although Infosys shares saw a modest uptick of 0.4 percent, the stock's overall performance in the current year has experienced a nominal decline of 0.1 percent.

It contrasts the substantial 15.46 percent surge witnessed in the Nifty IT index.
