Uber has launched a rewards program, 'Uber Pro,' to support its drivers in achieving their goals, both on and off the road.

The program offers drivers other ways to earn extra, more options and support, and greater discounts on essential services.

Uber Pro is operational in 12 major cities across India, introducing a range of enticing rewards, perks, and exclusive features.

Its primary focus is to enhance the overall platform experience.

Uber Pro's reward system recognises drivers with commendable customer ratings (above 4.8) and minimal trip cancellations.

The objective is to create a great experience for riders and drivers during every trip.

Shiva Shailendran, Director of Operations at Uber India & South Asia, said: “Drivers are at the heart of what we do at Uber.

“We are committed to providing a great ride experience for a rider and driver each time they choose Uber.

“Uber Pro rewards drivers who provide a great service to riders by maintaining a high app rating and low trip cancellations.

“It will go a long way in promoting the adaptation and continued use of the Uber platform by top-rated drivers who have made us #IndiaKiRide over the last 10 years, and will improve the overall experience on theUber app.”

Uber Pro introduces a tiered structure comprising Blue, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond tiers, with Diamond being the highest achievable tier.

Starting at the Blue tier, new drivers progress by earning points on completed tips and meeting specific criteria.

These points will reset every three months, ensuring a driver's tier status reflects their performance over a rolling period.

Advancing to higher tiers unlocks exclusive perks and experiential rewards from third-party collaborators.

It includes discounted vehicle maintenance, motor insurance, and microcredit offerings.
