Logistics service company will expand in Michigan to build new jobs

Michigan-based firm Automated Logistics Systems plans for an expansion that will create new jobs in the state.

As part of the project, the company will add an extra 9,000 square feet of space to its existing 3,000 square feet office in Grand Rapids.

The new space will have a total capacity of around 120 employees, nearly tripling the office's existing workforce of approximately 45 team members.

“But our biggest area of growth we are expecting is in Grand Rapids just with the pure talent and opportunities we’re finding in the area.”

The company expanded its regional workforce and experienced year-over-year growth as a whole.

ALS is a family run business, with Joe Parker the current president being the third generation.

The company believes it is this family-owned culture that has lead to its success and continued expansion.
