Procter & Gamble will add 46 new jobs in Greensboro in $110 million expansion

Procter & Gamble has announced it is increasing its manufacturing capacity in Guilford County.
The company, which manufactures dozens of consumer goods names, publicized the expansion in a virtual ceremony held Tuesday, March 1.
Procter & Gamble will capitalize $110 million in an expansion project that is set to generate an extra 46 jobs in Greensboro.

All jobs will be based at the firm’s manufacturing facility in Greensboro, and the venture will add some 80,000 square feet of space to the facility.
Elke Feierabend, Plant Manager said: “We are excited to expand our operations in Greensboro, in order to better meet the demand for our products and serve our consumers:
He added: “We are grateful to the Greensboro community for their continued support, and we look forward to many years of partnership and growth.”
The investment was made in partnership with a number of organizations involved in the region's economic growth.
The list comprises the Guilford County Economic Development Alliance, entailing the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce and High Point Economic Development Corporation.
Anita Bachmann, chair of the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors said: “This announcement is another example of a manufacturer finding success in Greensboro/Guilford County and deciding to expand their operations here. Procter & Gamble’s decision proves our strong workforce makes our community one of the best places to do business.”
The City of Greensboro, Guilford County, Guilford Technical Community College, and the Guilford County Workforce Development Board were all involved in the project's success.
Greensboro Mayor Nancy Vaughan added: “Procter & Gamble is a household name and the company is highly respected globally this expansion is a prime opportunity for Greensboro and Guilford County to add quality jobs as we enhance our advanced manufacturing portfolio.”
The company was noted as an employer that is actively recruiting at Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
Utility providers Duke Energy and Piedmont Natural Gas were also involved so were the North Carolina Department of Commerce and the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina.
