Amazon is looking to recruit 12,000 seasonal worker in Florida as the busy Christmas period approaches.
The company announced on Monday its plans to bolster its workforce in several key regions to meet increased demand during the busiest shopping period of the year.

Amazon is spreading its hiring efforts across Florida’s major metropolitan areas. The company plans to bring in approximately:
- 1,000 employees in the Tampa, St. Pete, and Clearwater regions
- 1,000 employees in Lakeland and Winter Haven
- 2,000 employees in South Florida, including areas such as Miami and Fort Lauderdale
- 2,000 employees in Jacksonville
- 1,000 employees in Palm Bay, Melbourne, and Titusville
The company’s hiring push reflects Florida’s significance as a key market for Amazon’s operations, which include distribution centers, fulfillment hubs, and last-mile delivery stations.
Competitive Pay and Flexible Schedules

This boost adds at least an additional $1.50 per hour, raising the average base wage to over $22 per hour.
