Heiko Zeutschner
Chairman of the Board
Based in Erlangen, Germany, Heiko Zeutschner is the Chairman of the Board at WhatJobs Ltd. He began his career in 1995, building e-commerce platforms and pioneering early web technologies. By 1996, he had shifted his focus to job boards a sector he has remained committed to for nearly three decades.
In 2005, Heiko founded Gigajob in Germany, scaling the platform to over 110 countries and establishing it as a globally recognised brand in online recruitment. He later broadened his digital portfolio, launching platforms in real estate, price comparison, and online dating.
He joined the board of WhatJobs Ltd in 2023, bringing with him extensive experience in international scaling, cross-border strategy, and digital business growth.
Outside of work, Heiko is an avid wine collector and a recognised expert in viticulture and wine production.
Alexander Paterson
Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder
Based on the Isle of Man, Alexander is the Global CEO and a founding board member of WhatJobs Ltd. He entered the online recruitment space in 2003 and, in 2005, launched Check4Jobs.com one of the industry’s earliest job search aggregators. In 2011, he rebranded the platform as AdView.Online, continuing to innovate in the evolving job tech landscape.
In 2019, Alexander co-founded WhatJobs.com alongside Shane McGourty, with a clear objective: to build a globally trusted and recognisable employment brand. Today, he leads the company’s global strategy, with a focus on innovation, international expansion, and sustainable growth.
Alexander’s commitment to performance, branding, and long-term client relationships has positioned WhatJobs as one of the fastest-growing platforms in the sector.
Outside of work, Alexander is a passionate car enthusiast and collector, with a deep appreciation for automotive design and engineering.
Shane McGourty
Global Managing Director & Co-Founder
Based in London, Shane is the Global Managing Director and co-founder of WhatJobs.com. He founded the company in 2019 alongside Alexander Paterson, bringing more than two decades of experience in recruitment technology, digital strategy, and commercial leadership.
Before WhatJobs, Shane held senior roles at IrishJobs and Monster, where he led regional expansion initiatives and built strong client and partner networks. His broader experience across SaaS, telecoms, and media has made him a specialist in scaling high-growth digital businesses.
At WhatJobs, Shane leads the company’s global business operations, overseeing sales, marketing, finance, and product development. His leadership continues to drive WhatJobs’ commercial success and international expansion.
An avid traveller, Shane has visited over 70% of the world’s countries, drawing on a truly global perspective in both business and life.
Adil Rehman
Chief Operating Officer – Technical Operations
Based on the Isle of Man, Adil Rehman is the Chief Operating Officer and a board member at WhatJobs Ltd. He joined the company in 2020, following a successful 20-year tenure as Managing Director of Gigajob, the prominent German job platform acquired by Indeed in 2018.
Adil oversees technical operations across both the UK and Indian offices, ensuring strategic alignment between global infrastructure and product delivery. His operational leadership has been key to supporting the company’s international scale.
Outside of work, Adil is a passionate motorcycle enthusiast, with a particular appreciation for performance bikes and the Isle of Man’s motorsport legacy.
Sudhakar Gunaseelan
Chief Technology Officer – Backend Systems & Infrastructure
Based in Bengaluru, India, Sudhakar Gunaseelan is the Chief Technology Officer and a board member at WhatJobs Ltd. A 20-year veteran of the job tech industry, he joined the company in 2020 following a long tenure as Technical Director at Gigajob.
Sudhakar specialises in backend systems, frameworks, and database architecture. He leads WhatJobs' global technology strategy, ensuring the platform’s performance, scalability, and security as it continues to expand internationally.
Outside the office, Sudhakar is an avid gamer and passionate about mentoring and developing others in the tech community.
Mary Johnson
Director of Enterprise Sales
Based in Richmond, Virginia, Mary Johnson is the Director of Enterprise Sales at WhatJobs Ltd. With prior leadership roles at Snagajob and JobGet, she brings deep expertise in recruitment advertising and enterprise hiring solutions.
Mary leads commercial strategy for enterprise clients, developing tailored partnerships with large-scale employers. Her background in B2B sales and client success makes her a trusted voice in strategic hiring.

Alex McDowell
Operations Director – Global Sales & Partnerships
Based in Reading, UK, Alex McDowell is the Operations Director at WhatJobs Ltd. Since joining the company in 2019, he has held a senior leadership role overseeing global sales and partnerships, and has been a key contributor to WhatJobs’ rapid international growth.
Known for his reliability, strategic mindset, and ability to drive commercial performance, Alex leads initiatives that support year-on-year traffic growth and market expansion.

Brandon East
Creative Lead – Brand & Multimedia
Based in Reading, UK, Brandon East is the Creative Lead at WhatJobs Ltd. A specialist in branding, digital media, and 3D design, he oversees the visual identity of the company across global markets.
Brandon’s work ensures that WhatJobs communicates with clarity and creativity across all platforms, supporting both marketing and user engagement.
Outside of work, Brandon is an avid PC gamer with a strong interest in immersive design and interactive storytelling.
Michelle Brannan
Executive Assistant to the CEO
Based in Reading, UK, Michelle Brannan is the Executive Assistant at WhatJobs Ltd. She joined in 2024, bringing more than a decade of experience in high-level executive support and operations across dynamic environments.
Michelle plays a central role in managing the office of the CEO, coordinating leadership communications and streamlining day-to-day operations.
Outside of her corporate responsibilities, Michelle is a world-renowned fitness professional and founder of Body Project X, one of the UK’s leading fitness coaching organisations.
