Falcon structures to double its manufacturing facility

Falcon Structures has begun construction on a new facility that would quadruple the size of its current one to accommodate increasing development.

The company is a pioneer in the shipping container modification industry and the expansion will add 200,000 square feet to its factory in Austin, Texas.

Stephen Shang, CEO and Co-Founder of Falcon Structures, Board of Directors member for the Modular Building Institute said: “We are seeing a huge increase in demand for our container-based structures.

"This expansion will triple our capacity and ensure that we can serve all our customers better than ever before.”

Falcon's record-breaking first quarter of 2022 was fuelled by growing demand for the company's configurable catalog structures, as well as a number of notable projects, including several indoor container farms, food and beverage venues, and unique equipment enclosures.

Falcon's new facilities will allow it to complete its large backlog and better support prospective customers in its strong pipeline.

The company will be able to take on more large-scale projects with increased facility capacity, which will allow it to work with customers to develop their own enterprises using shipping container architecture.

John McAlonan, President and COO of Falcon Structures said: “This expansion will double our physical footprint and dramatically increase our efficiency. We will be able to streamline further the flow of our containers, materials, and production operations and create an even better experience for our customers.”

Falcon plans to complete the expansion by mid-summer 2022.
