Evri has unveiled its intention to create 5,000 new roles, including full-time, part-time, and temporary positions, by Christmas 2023.
The firm has already recruited around 5,000 people this year and aims to match this in the remaining months of 2023.
Evri, formerly Hermes, is offering a range of positions in anticipation of the hectic holiday season.

These include roles for van drivers, customer support personnel, warehouse staff, supervisors, and delivery couriers.
The North West of England is poised to gain significantly from Evri’s hiring initiative.
Focus on North-East
The company plans to fill around 600 positions in this region, with a focus on Manchester, Warrington, and Bolton.
Bolton is expected to provide over 320 courier opportunities, while Manchester is set to offer more than 250 similar positions.
Martijn de Lange, the CEO of Evri, said: “As we approach the festive season, we’re launching the most extensive recruitment drive in our company’s history.”

He highlighted the company’s remarkable growth trajectory, attributing it to the surge in online retail, including marketplaces and second-hand platforms, as consumers increasingly engage in buying and selling used items.
Gary Robinson, Evri’s Director of Couriers and Final Mile, added: “Applicants can easily apply, have a preliminary discussion with the local Community Delivery Manager, and then proceed to training.
“We’ve had couriers who began their journey during the holiday season and are still with Evri two decades later.”
Evri collaborates with over 30,000 independent couriers, facilitating deliveries to more than 12 million individuals weekly.
