Free holiday homes for Timpson’s staff

Timpson is giving its employees a free holiday as its latest gesture to them.

Last week, James Timpson, the head of the shoe repair chain and key maker, announced the news on Twitter.

Timson said: “Good news! We have bought our 17th colleague holiday home, this time in Great Yarmouth.

“We now have 643 weeks a year for our amazing colleagues to have free holidays next year with their family and friends. Looking after colleagues is the best investment we make.

"Your business is a breath of fresh air in these dark days," one user responded. Merry Christmas to you and your entire team."

Another said: “For years you have always attempted to do right by your greatest resource, your employees. Everyone I have come across says without hesitation the same and also it being a genuine ethos of the company. Take a bow, James.”

One user said: “Could you come run Royal Mail for us please James, could do with a bloke who understands. Well done mate, this is how to be a boss.”

Mr. Timpson said earlier: “Our culture is about the elements of trust and kindness, we have developed this over the years by making it an integral part of the business.
