Aldi has announced plans to generate 5,500 new jobs throughout 2024 as part of its rapid expansion strategy.

This hiring spree will include positions at its corporate headquarters and across its 11 regional distribution centres network.

The discounter also intends to hire at its new stores slated for opening, covering roles from store assistants to managers and cleaners.

The move is a segment of Aldi's ambitious £1.4 billion investment plan set to unfold over the next two years to bolster the supermarket chain's growth.
