The Nottingham-based company is renowned for its fantasy figurines and the popular gaming series Warhammer and Lord of the Rings.

With approximately 530 stores under its belt, Games Workshop is attributing the bonus to the expectation of half-year profits reaching at least £94 million.

This rise comes alongside a nine percent increase in sales, totaling £247 million.

While the core gaming sales experienced robust growth, licensing income was a noticeable decline.

Founded almost five decades ago by three school friends, Games Workshop has not only weathered the challenges posed by the pandemic but flourished during it.

The company's success continues despite a challenging retail landscape.

The appeal of home-based hobbies and small indulgences has thrived amid consumers' financial constraints.

Despite a slowdown in the second quarter of the financial year, Games Workshop has reaped the benefits of a strong initial quarter.

It’s bolstered by the launch of the 10th edition of its Warhammer 40,000 game.
