We are currently seeking a Bilingual (Spanish) Physical Therapy Aide or Technician to join our outpatient clinic! This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team that promotes long-term growth in the healthcare field.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in and perform patient transfers and lifts using proper body mechanics, according to standard techniques.
  • Assist the therapist in evaluations/treatments at the bedside and the rehabilitation gym (i.e., exercises, mat activities, orthosis fabrication, modality preparation).
  • Report treatment activities, patient progress, and any unusual response to treatment or incident to the therapist.
  • Maintain a neat/tidy appearance in all areas of the department, returning equipment/ supplies to designated areas
  • Regularly sanitize exercise equipment, mats, and assistive devices according to hospital safety and infection control standards.
  • Evaluate and distribute linen supplies, changing linens on treatment tables according to procedures
  • Maintain medical supplies in all treatment areas
  • Sustain organization in the closets regularly
  • Sweep soiled utility and equipment rooms at least twice weekly for therapy equipment
  • Assist in department communication processes-answer telephones, transit messages from nursing service to the therapist, communicate between therapists, etc.
  • Assist the therapist with delivery, set-up, and clean-up of the treatment area (i.e., patient room, rehab gym, etc.) for patient care delivery

We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function and level. Final offer/contract amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skillset, work experience and languages, and may vary from the amounts listed below.

The pay range for this position is: $19 - $22/hr

Office location: 16320 Roscoe Blvd Suite #200, Van Nuys, California 91406

Must be Bilingual in Spanish

This position is full-time: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM (Please ensure you are available full-time before applying)

High School diploma or equivalent

Strong customer service and telephone skills

Good Computer skills with MS Office (MS Excel and Word)

Experience as a Physical Therapy Aide in Outpatient settings is preferred but not required

Qualifications:
Qualifications

  • Unrestricted Occupational Therapy Assistant degree from an accredited program.
  • Active Occupational Therapy Assistant license in current state.
  • 1+ year of experience as a Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • Ongoing participation in continued education courses required for licensure.
  • Caring and compassionate demeanor.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.

Compensation

$30.00 - $38.00 per hour

  • Serves and protects the occupational therapy practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
Qualifications
  • Unrestricted Occupational Therapy Assistant degree from an accredited program.
  • Active Occupational Therapy Assistant license in current state.
  • 1+ year of experience as a Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • Ongoing participation in continued education courses required for licensure.
  • Caring and compassionate demeanor.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.
Compensation

$30.00 - $38.00 per hour

Hours: Monday through Thursday from 1-6 pm CST and Friday from 1-5 pm CST

  • Follow the plan of care by Occupational Therapist and provide treatment to patients
  • Interprets evaluation findings to provide care and safety relating to dysfunction
  • Provides treatment based on the goals and follows through with treatment to achieve established goals
  • Provides advice and education to patients and family
  • Regularly assesses clinical signs and symptoms to determine the effectiveness of treatment, the progress of the patient towards goals, the need for modifying plans and treatment
Qualifications
  • Graduate of accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
  • California COTA License
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Home Health experience preferred; not required
