What you’ll do

Reporting to the CFO, you'll own worldwide accounting for a dynamic, multifaceted business—multi-entity and multi-geography, spanning real estate, software, marketplace platforms, and emerging hardware, with active M&A and a meaningful balance sheet. We are looking for a builder: you'll lead the transformation of the accounting function as we scale—strengthening controls, re‑architecting how data flows, rationalizing the legal‑entity structure, owning technical accounting and the external audit, and building toward eventual IPO/SOX readiness.

  • Lead the global accounting organization, including regional controllers and accounting leaders across multiple entities and geographies.
  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Drive accounting transformation initiatives, systems improvements, process automation, and organizational design enhancements.
  • Lead complex financial cleanup and remediation efforts, building scalable infrastructure in an evolving, high‑growth environment.
  • Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, governance frameworks, and financial reporting processes.
  • Partner closely with Finance, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Legal, and operational leaders across the company.
  • Support audit readiness, technical accounting matters, and long‑term IPO preparedness initiatives.
  • Evaluate and optimize processes, technology, and team structures to increase efficiency, leverage, and business partnership.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO and executive leadership team on accounting, controllership, and finance transformation priorities.
  • Help establish the systems, processes, and organizational foundations required to support the company's future growth and public‑company aspirations.
What we’re looking for
  • 15+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
  • CPA, with roots in Big Four public accounting required.
  • Experience leading large, global, multi‑entity accounting organizations.
  • Proven success scaling high‑growth businesses and navigating complexity.
  • Experience with IPO readiness, public company environments, SOX, or large transformation efforts is desirable.
  • Strong systems orientation with a track record of driving automation and process improvements.
  • Ability to balance immediate execution against long‑term strategic outcomes.
  • High sense of ownership and urgency.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments.
  • Operated at a high‑rigor public company and "knows what good looks like"—energized by building just that.

At Atoms, you’ll work on one of the defining challenges of our time—bringing automation into the physical world to drive real, lasting impact. We exist to uncover valuable unknown truths and turn them into progress, which means constantly pushing beyond what’s known and building what doesn’t yet exist. The work is ambitious and often challenging, but it’s grounded in a shared sense of purpose and a team committed to seeing it through together. Our work only matters if it serves others, and we know that meaningful progress depends on the trust of the people we serve and the strength of our team—so we invest in both, creating an environment where you can do your best work and grow.

What else you need to know

We are roboticists, engineers, operators, and builders. We believe the next great technology companies will not only transform information, but the physical systems that shape everyday life.

If you want to work on hard problems with real‑world impact, join us.

About the Role

We're looking for a Brand Director to own how the world experiences Atoms and its family of products; Otter, CK, Picnic, Lab37. You'll set the brand strategy, build the narrative and visual system, and make every touchpoint feel like one company with a clear point of view across a portfolio defining the future of restaurant technology. You'll define how Atoms shows up for the people who run restaurants and for the enterprise buyers who bet their operations on us, and you'll build the reputation that makes each of our products easier to trust and easier to sell.

The ideal candidate pairs sharp creative judgment with commercial discipline. You think in systems—voice, identity, messaging architecture— but you're just as comfortable in the weeds of a campaign or a landing page. You know how to build a brand that means something to a busy operator and an enterprise decision‑maker at the same time, and you can prove that brand investment moves the business. You've built the function, led the team, and raised the bar on the work and you're energized by doing it across three growing businesses at once.

What you'll do
  • Own brand strategy and positioning across the portfolio — the overarching Atoms narrative and how each product brand ladders up to it
  • Own the brand positioning and messaging framework, ensuring consistent, differentiated communication across every stakeholder touchpoint — web, product, sales, lifecycle, social, events, and PR
  • Build and steward the brand system: voice, visual identity, messaging architecture, and guidelines that keep every surface coherent as we scale
  • Lead brand campaigns end to end — concept, creative, production, and measurement — that build awareness and preference with not only SMB restaurant operators but also enterprise buyers
  • Design reputation and category‑leadership strategies that establish Atoms and its products as the trusted names in restaurant technology
  • Partner with Comms to create thought‑leadership platforms that position Atoms leaders as authoritative voices in restaurant tech, robotics, real estate and operator software
  • Cultivate co‑marketing and strategic brand partnerships that enhance credibility and extend reach in key operator and enterprise communities
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Growth, and Performance so the brand shows up coherently across paid, web, lifecycle, sales, and events — and so brand and demand reinforce each other
  • Manage creative resourcing — in‑house designers and writers plus external agencies and production partners — and raise the creative bar across the org
  • Develop the systems and templates (brand deck guidelines, asset libraries) that let a lean team produce on‑brand work fast
  • Define success metrics for brand influence and build the measurement framework — awareness, consideration, perception, and share of voice — that connects brand investment to pipeline and growth
  • Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and audience sentiment to inform strategic brand decisions
  • Hire, manage, and mentor a team of brand and creative professionals as the function grows
What we’re looking for
  • 10+ years in brand marketing, including significant experience leading brand at a high‑growth company
  • A proven track record driving brand from strategy through execution (campaigns, identity systems, or rebrands you can point to)
  • Experience owning a brand positioning and messaging framework and keeping it consistent across many touchpoints and audiences
  • Strong creative judgment paired with commercial discipline; you tie brand to business outcomes, not just aesthetics
  • Excellence in storytelling; you can articulate a narrative that lands with a busy operator and an enterprise buyer alike
  • A background building and managing creative teams and agency relationships
  • Strong analytical capability for measuring brand health, sentiment, and perception, and connecting it to the business
  • Comfort in a fast‑moving environment with multiple business units and shifting priorities
Strong candidates may also
  • Have marketed to CEOs of large companies
  • Have experience marketing products to SMBs, restaurant operators, or independent merchants
  • Have built a brand or creative function from the ground up
  • Have led brand across a multi‑product or portfolio (multi‑brand house) environment, including brand architecture work
  • Have partnered closely with product and growth teams so brand and demand reinforce each other
  • Have run a rebrand or launched a new brand system end to end
  • Have built brand operations - guidelines, design systems, and asset libraries - that scale creative output on a lean team
