**Key Responsibilities**
+ Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on injection molds and tooling.
+ Troubleshoot mold and tooling issues to minimize production downtime.
+ Repair, modify, and refurbish existing molds, dies, and fixtures.
+ Conduct mold tear-down, cleaning, inspection, and assembly activities.
+ Operate tool room equipment such as mills, lathes, grinders, EDM machines, and precision measuring instruments.
+ Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and CAD models.
+ Fabricate replacement components as required to support production.
+ Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to resolve tooling-related issues.
+ Support mold qualification, validation, and engineering change activities.
+ Maintain tooling documentation and maintenance records.
+ Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
+ Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance tooling performance and reliability.
**Qualifications**
+ Technical degree, vocational training, or equivalent experience in Tool and Die Making, Machining, or a related field.
+ Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a tool room or injection molding environment preferred.
+ Experience with injection mold maintenance and repair.
+ Strong knowledge of machining practices, and tooling systems.
+ Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring equipment.
+ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
**Preferred Skills**
+ Experience with hot runner systems and mold-flow concepts.
+ Knowledge of CNC machining, EDM, and CAD/CAM systems.
+ Understanding of GMP and regulated manufacturing environments (if applicable).

**JOB SUMMARY**
Assume ownership of all aspects related to Planned and Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Daily Team Maintenance (DTM). Coordinate maintenance activities and drive a culture of world class machine care. Work in conjunction with the other participants of the preventative maintenance (PM) process. Provide feedback to aid in continuous improvements to existing manufacturing equipment and the PM process to improve efficiencies and productivity. The position will require planning of maintenance, resources, and material on PM day and during shutdown.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:
+ Implement improvements to existing PPM processes to increase productivity and efficiency.
+ Partner with department representatives to ensure the PPM is successfully initiated and completed within the time frame.
+ Report information to the PPM leader that is potentially advantageous to provide cost reductions and efficiency improvements as and when required.
+ Ensure that any statutory legislation/obligations are adhered to with regard to PPM, especially those associated with Health & Safety requirements and environmental needs.
+ Manage and ensure accurate data entry of SAP in relation to PM's.
+ Work with Engineering and Parts Crib to ensure prompt and efficient management of spare parts.
+ Work with Engineering on planning Plant Shutdowns, ensuring the correct resources, materials, and workload.
+ Work with internal resources and outside vendors to procure parts and equipment.
+ Work as an additional resource to the Technical teams during scheduled planned maintenance periods.
+ Work outside of normal working hours as needed when required to support PM activities.
+ Carry out any other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate by respective leader.
+ Work closely with the PM Administrator to ensure successful completion of PM activities.

**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
1. Process & Equipment Strategy, Design and Development
+ Provide technical ownership and strategic direction for assembly, packaging, automation, inspection, molding, press, and manufacturing equipment.

+ Define, create, review, and approve User Requirement Specifications (URS) ensuring clear translation to supplier designs and site needs.

+ Optimize equipment and process designs to improve performance, reliability, ergonomics, changeover time, maintainability, manufacturability, and total cost of ownership.
+ Provide authoritative technical and cost input to capital justification (CB-2) including risk, validation effort, and sustainability of performance.
2. Supplier, Vendor & Capital Program Leadership
+ Act as technical lead for supplier and system integrator engagement on large or complex capital programs.
+ Lead and approve vendor selection, RFQs, and technical evaluations in partnership with Procurement.
+ Define and control supplier technical scope, interfaces, cost, lead time, risks, and performance expectations.
+ Review and approve supplier designs, specifications, safety concepts, automation architecture, and documentation.
+ Lead, witness, and approve Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) including acceptance criteria, deviation management, and corrective actions.
+ Oversee supplier issue resolution, design changes, and continuous improvement actions.
+ Support contract execution, change management, and claims resolution with Procurement and Legal.
+ Establish and maintain strong long-term technical relationships with strategic equipment suppliers.
3. Equipment Integration, Validation & Start-Up
+ Provide technical leadership for end-to-end equipment integration into operating manufacturing environments.
+ Approve and oversee installation, integration, and commissioning strategies including site readiness, utilities, layout, logistics, and EHS compliance.
+ Lead and approve SAT, commissioning, qualification, and validation strategies.
+ Ensure execution of equipment qualification, process verification, and process validation in compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.
+ Approve validation protocols, reports, and acceptance decisions.
+ Lead and support vertical start-up ensuring equipment, process, documentation, materials, and personnel readiness.
+ Act as escalation point for complex integration, automation, and performance issues.
4. Ramp-Up, Performance & Continuous Improvement
+ Ensure achievement and sustainability of OEE, yield, throughput, scrap, reliability, and capacity targets during ramp-up and early production.
+ Lead and approve center lining strategies to stabilize and optimize long-term equipment performance.
+ Oversee performance gap analysis between expected and actual results and drive corrective action plans.
+ Champion Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives leveraging Lean Manufacturing, data analytics, and standardization.
+ Drive lessons learned, best practices, and technology reuse across sites and programs.
5. Documentation, Training & Handover
+ Ensure completeness and quality of all equipment and validation documentation, including URS, specifications, drawings, FAT/SAT reports, qualification/validation records, maintenance and control plans, spare parts lists, and software backups.
+ Approve operating instructions, troubleshooting guides, standard work, and maintenance procedures.
+ Ensure site training and capability transfer is completed prior to handover.
+ Approve formal handover to Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality functions.
6. Compliance, Safety & Quality Leadership
+ Ensure full compliance with EHS, machine safety, ISO, FDA, GMP, and BD Quality System requirements.
+ Act as technical authority during audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions related to equipment and processes.
+ Promote and model a strong safety, quality, and compliance culture across all projects.
7. Technical Leadership & Mentoring
+ Serve as a senior technical authority and subject matter expert within GIE EDI.
+ Mentor and develop engineers across levels, providing technical guidance and coaching.
+ Lead complex technical discussions and decision-making across global, cross-functional teams.
+ Drive global standardization, harmonization, and knowledge sharing initiatives.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Automation, Manufacturing, or related field), or equivalent experience.
+ 8 years of progressively responsible experience in equipment design, automation, manufacturing engineering, and capital project delivery.
+ Extensive experience integrating equipment in complex, regulated manufacturing environments with strong focus on validation and vertical start-up.
+ Proven leadership in large or complex capital projects.
+ Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing, DOE, SPC, FMEA, and structured problem solving.
+ Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required by project needs.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Ensures the accurate and timely bi-weekly submission of the site payroll.
+ Responsible for verifying manual time entries due to misplaced or forgotten badges and ensuring accurate daily input of this time.
+ Reviews all associate updates in Workday to ensure that schedules are accurately reflected and integrated into ADP, including new hires, transfers, and promotions.
+ Reviews all leave approvals from Sedgwick and ensures the proper allocation of PTO and vacation time as appropriate. Updates codes to accurately reflect the changes.
+ Runs and distributes the monthly Overtime report.
+ Updates weekly absenteeism report.
+ Assist in the preparation of special reports and special projects as required.
+ Orders and organizes office supplies.
+ Oversees the implementation of the empathy policy and handles the related invoice management.
+ Addresses all employee inquiries and provides appropriate support.
+ Work overtime as needed by the department.
+ Communicate effectively and promptly with peers, support teams, and management, including escalating issues when necessary.
+ Comply with all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures including RCRA Hazardous Waste regulations.
+ Comply with all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.

**Education and Experience required:**
+ High School Diploma or GED required.
+ Minimum 1-one year of administrative support experience required, including hands-on responsibility for payroll administration and timekeeping processes. Experience should include reviewing and maintaining employee time records, auditing data for accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring information is processed and submitted accurately and on schedule for payroll processing.
+ Experience working with payroll or timekeeping software required (ADP preferred).
+ Ability to work flexible hours based on business needs, including approximately 4-5 hours every other weekend to review and prepare timekeeping information in support of payroll processing **.**
**Knowledge and Skills required:**
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and Excel), including running reports, analyzing data, and identifying discrepancies.
+ Demonstrates a high degree of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive employee and business information.
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when dealing with payroll and employee records.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong customer service orientation.
+ Ability to de-escalate concerns, address sensitive employee inquiries professionally, and provide support with empathy and poise.
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced, highly transactional environment.
+ Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
+ Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable identifying issues, escalating concerns, and recommending process improvements.
**Preferred qualifications**
+ Experience working in a manufacturing, regulated environment strongly preferred.

+ As needed, the incumbent must be willing and able to wear required PPE such as, safety glasses, face mask and/or shield, hearing protection, safety shoes, hair and beard net and smock.
+ While performing this job, may be frequently required to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time. Also regularly exposed to episodes of bending, stooping, reaching, walking, pushing/pulling, repetitive grasping, hearing, twisting, lifting, pick or type which can provide repetitive motion of the wrists, hands or fingers.
