Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Mass & Metrowest has been empowering youth in the community since 1963 through individualized mentoring programs. The organization fosters professionally supported mentoring relationships that help children realize their fullest potential. By partnering with local schools, youth programs, colleges, and corporations, they connect children ("Littles") with community volunteers ("Bigs") for one‑on‑one mentorship. From engaging in educational and recreational activities to providing consistent adult support, Bigs help Littles build brighter futures and overcome challenges.

Role Overview

This is an on‑site role located in Framingham, MA, for a Director of Fundraising. The Director of Fundraising will develop and implement strategies to engage donors, secure funding, and promote philanthropic support for the organization’s mission. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include cultivating relationships with major donors, planning and executing annual giving campaigns, overseeing donor communications, and collaborating with leadership to align fundraising efforts with strategic objectives. The role requires collaboration, strategic thinking, and a commitment to youth empowerment.

Qualifications
  • Expertise in Major Donors, Corporate Giving, Events and Annual Giving
  • Strong skills in communication and building relationships
  • Experience and understanding of philanthropy and fundraising best practices
  • Proven ability in strategic planning and setting fundraising goals
  • Passion for youth mentoring and empowering young people
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Previous experience in non‑profit or volunteer leadership roles is a plus
