What are your contributions to the team?

  • Provide technical solutions to production line for all structural and system installation issues

  • Provide technical direction to junior design engineers to accomplish day-to-day tasks

How to thrive in this role?

  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university

  • You have a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in airframe primary and secondary structures design including systems installations

  • You have an understanding of airframe configuration, optimization, loads, stress analysis, materials, manufacturing processes, tooling concepts and structural in-service requirements

  • Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5), Dimensional Management, and ability to perform manufacturing tolerance stack ups. Prereferably certification.

  • Experience with CATIA V5/Enovia or Teamcenter/NX

  • You have an understanding of civil aircraft certification rules and certification procedures

  • You have strong leadership, communication and inter-personal skills

  • You are able to work in a cross functional team environment and interact on a daily basis with other professionals and technicians

  • You have a good working knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office, CATIA V5, Enovia, Knowledge Based Engineering (KBE), etc.

  • Experience on Bombardier business jet platforms is a definite asset, specifically Global 7500.

  • Conduct and assist with engine/APU's and related systems operational checks and functional tests.

  • Install, remove, or modify aircraft structures, systems, or components, following drawings, schematics, charts, engineering orders, and technical publications.

  • Inspect completed work to certify that maintenance adheres to standards and procedures, and that aircraft are ready for operation.

  • Assist other employees in the performance of general aircraft maintenance task and their duties within area(s) of qualification.

  • Assist Aviation Maintenance Technicians in the operation of ground support equipment (GSE), for example, ground power units, hydraulic mules, and oxygen servicing units as needed.

  • Assist with performing complete engine runs.

  • Operate ground support equipment.

  • Assist with off-aircraft component repair.

  • Perform mechanical / electrical removals and installations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

· FAA Airframe and Powerplant License

· A minimum of eight (8+) years aircraft turbine engine line or shop maintenance or substantiated equivalent experience

· A minimum of two (2) years' experience on corporate jet aircraft

· A minimum of one (1) year experience on Bombardier aircraft

· Proficient in completing engine R&R'S, borescopes and written reports.

  • Perform duties of Trip Captain when so assigned.

  • Supervise assigned crewmembers during the preflight, en-route flight and post flight.

  • Acquire 500 cumulative flying hours on company product.

+ You have a strong sense of ethics and are customer focused.
+ You have a good analytical, planning, problem solving and interpersonal skills.

**What are your contributions to the team?**
+ Lead visits at key supplier sites to analyze performance issues, and coordinate improvement strategies inclusive of PO alignment, process improvements and quality system improvements
+ Expedite all critical parts at critical suppliers to clear all roadblocks and ensure zero disruption to the production line
+ Work with the supplier to establish a back to PO plan through harmonized lines of balance and ensure a daily follow up
+ Align with all key internal stakeholders and prepare a clear mandate for the supplier intervention, regularly follow up on the mandate and ensure a smooth handover.
+ Identify supplier improvement and risk mitigation opportunities at key supplier sites and manage these improvement activities.
+ Drive execution of supplier performance improvement plans and interface with internal and external partners to collaboratively pursue solutions and closure of action plans.
