Senior Vice President - Finance, Strategy and Investor Relations Overview

What You’ll Do
  • Drive Strategy: Evaluate growth opportunities, structure investments, and guide capital deployment to maximize returns.
  • Lead Financial Planning: Build advanced models, forecast performance, and provide actionable insights to support executive decisions.
  • Manage Capital & Treasury: Oversee debt, equity, and liquidity; collaborate with banks and investment partners to optimize capital structure.
  • Own Investor Relations: Represent the company to investors, analysts, and key stakeholders with transparent, compelling communication.
  • Lead & Mentor: Inspire and guide your team, set clear goals, and foster a culture of accountability, precision, and execution.
  • Influence Across the Business: Partner with multiple functions to ensure alignment on strategy, capital priorities, and performance tracking.
What You Bring
  • 15+ years of corporate finance, capital markets, and real estate experience (public company experience preferred).
  • Proven strategic leadership , with the ability to influence C-suite executives and boards.
  • Deep expertise in finance, treasury, debt & equity, and capital markets .
  • Hands-on proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis .
  • Track record in investor relations —presentations, storytelling, and confident communication.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, Master’s, or CPA strongly preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, high-impact environment where execution matters as much as strategy.

Base pay range

$82,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

Our client, a media company based in Miami, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team!

Responsibilities
  • Overall responsibility for general accounting.
  • Posting of prepayments, accruals and deferred revenue journals (project and non-project related).
  • Verifying and posting of payroll prepared by external provider.
  • Ensuring that subledgers and general ledger are settled properly and reconcile.
  • Collaboration with tax advisors and posting of tax accruals (incl. deferred taxes).
  • Collaboration with AP Team Lead and Controlling Team on cash flow forecast.
  • Bad debt provision calculation and posting.
  • Supporting cash collection from customers.
  • Maintaining proper documentation of accounting processes and ensuring internal controls are in place and followed by stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor / Master's degree in accounting or equivalent education / certified accountant.
  • 5 years minimum overall experience.
  • 2-3 years of proven working supervisory experience in the accounting or financial reporting function.
  • Very good accounting knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS (especially IFRS9, IFRS15, and IFRS16).
  • Strong computer skills (especially Excel and formulas), Microsoft Dynamics D365 and/or Dynamics 365 Business Central would be an advantage.
  • Experience working in an international environment would be an asset.
  • Audit experience would be an asset.
  • Good organizational skills, positive mindset and ability to work independently.
  • Strong team orientation.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure.

Location: Chelsea, NYC

Hybrid: 2 days/week on-site with flexibility

Compensation: Up to $150k total compensation

Full-time or 30-hour/week single-client arrangement

Overview

A boutique investment company with a growing multi-entity structure is seeking a Financial, Investment & Operations Director to lead financial management, investment tracking, and operations across its platform. The organization is active in venture investments, brand incubation, real assets, and impact/philanthropy, with a team of ~10 and planned growth.

This newly created role will serve as the central owner of financial reporting, investment analysis, operational systems, and entity-level oversight.

Responsibilities
  • Build financial reporting across operating businesses (SKU profitability, inventory, COGS, channel analysis).
  • Develop dashboards covering cash burn, retail/wholesale trends, and promotions.
  • Oversee accounting, multiple-entity reconciliations, and monthly close.
  • Own budgets, forecasts, cash flow models, and financial KPIs.
  • Manage payroll and bill pay processes across corporate, investment, and household entities.
Investment Management
  • Track investment performance across asset classes (IRR, TVPI, DPI, capital calls, distributions).
  • Support diligence on VC, PE, real estate, and alternative opportunities.
  • Prepare investment memos, scenario models, and portfolio-level reporting.
  • Interface with external managers, bankers, and advisors.
Tax, Legal & Compliance
  • Coordinate with tax advisors on quarterly estimates and year-end filings.
  • Maintain entity records, insurance, and compliance calendars.
  • Support trust, estate, and philanthropic documentation and filings.
Operations & Systems
  • Oversee cross-entity bill pay processes and internal controls.
  • Implement cybersecurity and access protocols with external providers.
  • Develop and refine SOPs, workflows, and system integrations (QuickBooks, Notion, financial tools).
  • Support operational continuity and efficiency across the organization.
Qualifications
  • 6+ years in finance, accounting, investment management, or related fields (open to more senior profiles).
  • Experience in a family office, PE/VC, investment banking, or similar financial environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong P&L ownership, modeling skills, and comfort with multi-entity structures.
  • High discretion, ownership mindset, and ability to operate in a changing, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Interest in consumer, retail, or brand-oriented businesses is a plus.
  • MBA preferred
