We are currently in search of a Fundraising and Engagement Manager for a National Cancer Foundation. The position is Hybrid in Midtown Manhattan. This is a full-time, permanent position.

ORGANIZATION TYPE: National Cancer Foundation

POSITION TITLE: Fundraising and Engagement Manager

SCHEDULE: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Hybrid (On-site: Monday — Thursday)

DURATION: Permanent

ANNUAL SALARY: $70,000 – $80,000

The Fundraising and Engagement Manager will be responsible for contributing to the broader development strategy and executing high-impact events while engaging board members to support fundraising initiatives. This role will work closely with the Founder & CEO and is ideal for someone who is a proactive, adaptable, and relationship-driven fundraiser.

How You Will Spend Your Day:
  • Cultivate and steward major donors, corporate partners, and key stakeholders to support fundraising goals and long-term engagement.
  • Research and identify prospective donors, sponsors, and partnership opportunities to expand the organization’s funding pipeline.
  • Coordinate trustee, advisory board, and committee meetings, including agendas, materials, communications, and follow-up actions.
  • Manage board engagement initiatives and maintain strong communication with board members and volunteers.
  • Plan and execute fundraising events, donor cultivation activities, and special events from planning through post-event follow-up.
  • Oversee event logistics, including timelines, invitations, venue contracts, registrations, vendors, and on-site operations.
  • Supervise event support staff and coordinate volunteers to ensure successful event execution.
  • Maintain accurate donor records, prospect tracking, fundraising data, and reporting within the organization’s database.
  • Support Junior Board and Young Professionals Board initiatives through engagement, programming, and volunteer coordination.

The Director, Major Gifts will play a key role in advancing this mission through strategic donor engagement and philanthropic partnerships. Reporting to the Vice President & Chief Development Officer, this individual will manage a portfolio of leadership and major gift donors ($25K+) , cultivate high-capacity prospects, and support the Museum’s annual fund, membership program, and campaign-related stewardship initiatives.

Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Demonstrated success identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors resulting in significant philanthropic support
  • Experience managing relationships with high-capacity donor prospects and building robust fundraising pipelines
  • Strong ability to develop sophisticated donor strategies in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal communication skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, including persuasive donor correspondence and proposals
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Knowledge of planned giving instruments preferred
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced environment
  • Genuine enthusiasm for technology, innovation, and the future impact of computing
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree and/or CFRE preferred
How You Will Spend Your Day:
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of approximately 100 donor prospects with the capacity to give $100,000 or more
  • Develop and execute donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for major, annual, and planned gifts
  • Partner with the Director of Philanthropy — Annual Fund and Membership to develop strategies for leadership-level annual fund support
  • Write donor briefings, prepare correspondence, coordinate meetings, and support solicitation efforts
  • Steward donor relationships and ensure meaningful ongoing engagement and recognition
  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement long-term stewardship plans and donor communications
  • Support leadership for the Museum’s Lifetime Giving Society and campaign prospect stewardship touchpoints
  • Participate in cultivation and fundraising events to engage current and prospective supporters
  • Serve as an ambassador for the Museum’s mission, exhibitions, and long-range vision
  • Support additional fundraising initiatives and special projects as needed

Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, the Director of Video and Media Production is responsible for shaping and executing interpretive and storytelling solutions for visitor and audience experiences across multiple platforms. This role leads the creative and technical direction of all video production, including live event capture, narrative storytelling, exhibition media, digital platforms, multimedia installations, and potential broadcast television.

+Our Ideal Candidate:+
  • 5–7 years of direct multimedia production experience, ideally within educational, museum, nonprofit, or mission-driven environments
  • Experience producing educational, museum, or nonprofit multimedia projects
  • Strong experience with studio and remote video production, live audio recording, still photography, and multimedia editing
  • Experience creating content for social media platforms, including Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, and similar channels
  • Understanding of short-form storytelling, vertical video production, captioning strategies, audience engagement, and content optimization
  • Ability to manage multi-camera productions, live event recordings, and on-location shoots
  • Experience managing project scopes, schedules, budgets, vendors, and freelance production teams
  • Ability to translate complex subject matter into engaging, accessible media experiences for diverse audiences
  • Experience collaborating with curatorial, exhibitions, education, marketing, communications, and development teams
  • Strong technical proficiency operating and maintaining video production equipment, editing systems, and production workflows
  • Experience mentoring junior production staff and supporting team development

  • Develop interpretive and storytelling strategies across onsite, digital, and broadcast platforms
