What You’ll Be DoingThe role is to be the Head of U.S. ABS Structuring leading the Analytics effort within a growing ABS Group for the U.S. platform for CIBC. CIBC is growing its U.S. Securitization platform and presence in ABS and this role is to be a part of that growth and part of the ABS team, which includes teams in both New York and Toronto. Candidates should have a strong analytical background and have very good familiarity with working with the top issuers in the auto, consumer, equipment, TMT sectors among others.
How You’ll Succeed- Build new models and work with existing models to structure term ABS transactions across a variety of asset classes
- “Tape cracking“, running collateral cashflows, creating pool strats, rep lines, formulating view on CNLs, working with new pool data files to assess viability of what structure / advance rate can be achieved
- Educate junior Associates/Analysts on use of Intex, creating collateral strats and other supportive analytical functions
- Ability to convert language and formulas in Offering documentation to deal models in Excel, Intex, servicer reports, etc.
- Helping Bankers to provide and/or tie out any analytics appearing in offering documents for new issues including DEC tables, Discount rates, Fair Value Risk retention analysis, etc.
- Work with Credit Risk / Office of CRO when seeking approval for new transactions / asset classes, stress testing, model development / training / validation
- Work collaboratively with Originators and interact with rating agencies on new transactions and rating agency presentations for Left Lead roles
- Create and run stress runs and break-even scenarios for bonds on both primary new issues and secondary trades when needed for investors
- Provide analytical support for RFPs, pitch books, Term Sheets, presentations across asset classes
- Tie-out pricing/coupons/yields/durations/wals and other structural details with other banks in new issue process
- Performing Residual analysis for select issuers across variety of scenarios, loan/lease pool valuations
- Supporting ABCP Conduit / balance sheet / securitization financing transactions when needed
- Collaborate on analytics with other groups/desks including Derivatives, Sales, Repo, etc.
- Be able to tailor models / cashflows to customize and optimize structures for issuers to achieve the best economics
- Travel to clients, industry events as appropriate.
- B.S. in STEM field, Ideal candidate has an advance degree in Mathematics or Engineering.
- 15yrs of experience specifically in Term ABS analytics at a Leading “ABS Bank” with Left lead roles
- Deep understanding of deal mechanics and structures used in the auto loan/lease/floorplan/fleet, consumer loan, equipment, TMT sectors, some esoteric such as data center and others
- Strong quantitative background and high level of fluency with Excel, Intex Dealmaker, Intex Calc, CAS, VBA, Bloomberg and other platforms as needed in building models for transactions

What You’ll Be Doing:As the Executive Director II, Corporate Credit Risk, you will form an integral part of the Corporate Credit team and will be accountable to the Vice‑President, US Corporate Credit, Global Credit Risk Management for the management and adjudication of a Corporate Loan portfolio focused on US Diversified, Power and Utilities, Project Finance and Infrastructure, and Leveraged Lending credits. The US Anti-Money Laundering Transformation, Delivery, and Insights Team (US AML TDI) is a forward-thinking group driving innovation in anti-money laundering through advanced analytics, technology, and strategic transformation. We enhance the bank’s capabilities in transaction monitoring, customer risk rating, sanctions screening, and data governance. What You’ll Be DoingReporting to the Senior Director of TDI, this role provides oversight of US AML systems for transaction monitoring, screening, and customer risk rating. The Director also supports the AML data strategy, business architecture, analytics, and business intelligence, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence. The successful candidate will lead teams of compliance professionals and data specialists, and will collaborate with senior leadership, technology partners, and external vendors to deliver innovative AML solutions.
Acting in partnership with, and as a deputy to, the US AML TDI Senior Director, the successful candidate will help lead and support the following initiatives:
- Modernize the US AML transaction monitoring environment, including the deployment and tuning of new AML rules, and the assessment and implementation of advanced analytics, machine learning, entity resolution and other future-state solutions.
- Modernize the US AML screening program for Sanctions and politically exposed person (PEP) screening, payment, customer other types of screening, including tuning screening systems and deploying advanced analytics and machine learning to improve alert management.
- Oversee the integration of AML systems, data analytics, business intelligence to enhance detection capabilities and customer insights, including customer risk rating and due diligence applications.
- Oversee the integration of technologies such as business intelligence and visualization to help develop an effective investigations dataset and environment.

Who You Are- Minimum of 10 years of experience in AML technology and analytics within banking/financial services, with proven expertise in transaction monitoring, modern AML detection technologies, screening solutions, and risk rating platforms.
- More than 8 years of experience in analytics environments.
- Expert knowledge of Python, SQL, and R.
- Expert experience with AML systems including LexisNexis Bridger, SAS Viya, and FIS Prime.
- Experience with query optimization, debugging, and automation.

What You’ll Be Doing
The Investment Banking Compliance Officer will serve as a strategic partner to the business and internal stakeholders, advising on regulatory risk, transaction execution, and control frameworks for Investment Banking. How You’ll Succeed- Advise corporate and financial institution clients on regulatory considerations impacting capital markets transactions, including debt capital and equity offerings, derivatives strategies, and structured products.
- Review Watch and Restricted List surveillance reports to identify suspicious or prohibited transactions.
- Maintain the U.S. portion of CIBC’s Global Watch and Restricted Lists, coordinating with U.S. Investment Banking, Corporate Credit and Capital Markets staff.
- Prepare management information for the control room and other internal reporting.
