Job Duties
- Lead a product engineering group in development of vehicle systems and software. Contribute to engineering and design issues. Provide technical and product guidance to systems and software development team. Supervise Electrical Engineers, Systems Engineers, Software Engineers and Technical Leads.
- Project Planning, Supervision and Technical Review - Design workflow chart, man-hours, material and activities needed to complete projects. Oversee development of project definitions, specifications and guidelines. Manage assigned resources to ensure project timeliness and appropriate direction. Establish scope and priority. Answer questions, give direction and monitor project activities. Monitor and ensure design integrity is maintained through sound engineering practice, conformance to product goals, specifications, company and industry standards. Provide feedback in engineering/design reviews. Review test results to ensure compliance to standards. Propose and implement tools and other improvements to product development process. Resolve engineering design issues.
- Product and Technology Champion - Champion and lead development of new products. Build product knowledge for assigned truck models or product. Study competitive products and new emerging technologies, making recommendations for how to upgrade, improve and evolve both product and process. Work with customers, sales teams, and development teams to ensure product meets customer requirements. Study customer applications and propose products for improvements. Conduct product reviews to ensure a competitive and innovative product is released for production.
- Leadership and Communication - Regularly communicate project status, objectives, expectations and company information. Monitor staff quality of work, productivity and review with supervisors. Provide leadership while collaborating with other department managers to coordinate efforts and schedule for the development of components and other deliverables necessary to complete project.
- Employee Development - Create/revise job descriptions, conduct Talent Development discussions, rate performance, and establish/track goals. Coach, motivate, mentor, and develop direct reports to successfully take on additional responsibilities. Perform other duties as assigned.
- Mostly onsite work is required.
Internal Title: Group Leader Systems and Software
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 5 years of engineering experience in product development environment including model-based design of embedded control systems utilizing Mathworks tools (Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow, etc.)
- Project management and supervisory skills
- Good written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel with overnight stays (0-5%)
- Reliable transportation to travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of the product series in lift truck design, industrial design and ergonomics
- Hands on mechanical, electrical, and automotive/vehicle experience
- Experience in driver assistance, vehicle dynamics, or vehicle product/systems engineering
- Familiar with GitHub, C, C++, CANbus, CANape, CANalyzer, Confluence, Embedded C, FREE RTOS, Git, Jira, and Python
- Experience utilizing agile project management methodologies for embedded software development

**Job Posting External**
**Job Duties**
+ Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Crown and all other makes of lift trucks.
+ Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks.
+ Maintain a service van and its inventory.
+ Process paperwork after completion of each job.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Less than 2 years related experience
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
+ Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills.
+ Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred.
+ Familiar with tools and equipment such as common hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, arc welder and various types of testing equipment.
+ Industry related training is preferred
+ Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan, and follow-through

**Job Duties**
+ Communicate daily with Service Customer Care, Dispatcher, and Field Service Manager to determine work schedule.
+ Train, motivate, and monitor job performance of Field Service Technicians, including while at customer locations. Inspect repairs and scheduled maintenance. Ensure safety practices. Review paperwork and timecards.
+ Confer with customers and communicate issues to branch management. Maintain good customer relations.
+ Travel to customer locations to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair lift trucks.
+ Perform operator training or train the trainer at customer locations.
+ Pick up parts and replenish van inventory. Perform minor repairs and service to the van.
+ Complete necessary paperwork.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ 2-4 years related experience
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks

+ Prior Company experience as a Field Service Technician
